This project is on PAUSE until I get the 7 vidmaster challenges on halo 3/Halo 3 odst (and beat KH358)

I've tried arm7 files from rom ids 0001-0368...none work... ML pit arm7 actially loaded the game but froze at the title screen

    progress for known problems:
select file screen button lock: fixed
    load file black screen: fixed
    infinate bowser battle: fixed
bowser &fawful 1st scene (with vaccuum shroom): Fixed
room 2 inside bowser load: fixed
    Saving Luigi room load: fixed
    ----------------downloaded a save-----------
    last boss cutscene: fixed
    last boss battle: not fixed
    random freezing: not fixed

what I did before: replaced arm7, arm9 and overlay files. and a tiny bit of hex editing.
Wut I'm doing now: using partial savestate codes to bypass the anti piracy protection

    I'm using a new method...
I have 2 trainer toolkits and 2 ds systems so I use a retail cart on one and a r4 on the other. I check the differences of values on the 2 carts on the same part of the game. then I make an ar code that is like this:
    52XXXXXX YYYYYYYY
    02XXXXXX ZZZZZZZZ

ok...i've decided to continue...but i'm stuck. the jp arm9 only loads jp files (and us arm9 wit us files) the anti piracy seems to be in the [foldername or filename of other files on that folder]sys.dat (I could be wrong... hackers are not always right. if we were, it would take 10 min to fix each game) I'm gonna be busy so I won't try out anything that takes longer than 10 minutes till sunday

    you can do it [IMG]
for the sake of the future of pirating games (Ok that Sounded Terrible)
a r4 patch is likely to solve alot of flashcards with this freezing problems..
try out some theories and results
gather a crew and break the protection [IMG]

The anti-piracy patch/ARM7 thing for the JAP version won't work on the English version. Trust me, it's probably been tried and if it were successful, we would've known.

If the game was that easily translated than we would've atleast seen some type of translation for it before it came out in English.

The rest are bad humor, obviously.

The first suggestion just plain won't work and if you knew anything about cracking you would have known that. The second one is feasible but after reading your first suggestion I highly doubt you have the skills to do it. It takes a pretty extensive knowledge of hacking DS roms.

I'll just wish you good luck, bro. Hell, you'll be like a hero for lots of people that registered only in the forums to ask about how to fix the issues with this game.

    heh...fail....
I added a wrong value and it deleted my save...good thing I backup my saves all the time

edit: Another tip is if you can activate the antipiracy on a retail cart, you can deactivate it on a flashcart

If you are using YSMenu, try using the YSMenu with DSTT 1.17a02, that doesn't need patch or AR code for the JP version of this game.
