I am having trouble updating some of my games that were converted to install-able format. Most of my games whether I am launching them from their original disk or installed can tell if there is an update and download/install it. However, I can into five games that did not. I checked and there are apparently updates for them on Nintendo's servers. I even removed the DNS update-block just to be safe, but it can't tell that there are updates available.

So I tried just manually installing the updates myself.... but this didn't seem to work. The updates installed, but when I launched the games, while most of them didn't have a way of telling you, I noticed that one of them which does have a version number was still saying version 1.0. The five games are:

Tokyo Mirage Sessions - Says Version 1.0
Kirby - Don't see a way to check version
Devil's Third - Don't see a way to check version
Mario Party 10 - Don't see a way to check version
Mario and Sonic 2016 - - Don't see a way to check version

Any idea why it would not update? Are the updates maybe only for a specific region of the game or something? Or is there some special procedure to installing updates manually to get them to work?

That's what I tried, as I said though, it seems like the updates aren't being recognized once installed that way.

Do u have dns blocking in Internet settings?
If you set to auto obtain and are hooked to the internet then I believe when u start the game u will get a notice. There might actually be a tell when on icon before u select it but I forget

And as for when dl the updates are they same region and on same location as games

I was having issues with some games finding updates but failing to download them when I was using the DNS blocking, even if I used NNU-Patcher, so I actually turned off the DNS-block for now temporarily and am connecting directly. All of the times which detected an update was available had no issue downloading and installing the updates when I removed the DNS block.

However, the 5 games I listed didn't even DETECT an update was available, which is why I tried to install them manually using that USB download helper.
