Awesome! Glad there's a way to stop internet access to the Wii U somehow. It won't stop internet access + downloads when you first connect to the internet the first few seconds, but it's enough time for it not to completely download and you can even check download management at least once every time you use your console to see if any progress was made. But this would only be necessary to check if tubehax were to stop functioning one day. For now, it blocks good and disconnecting the internet is a good layer of protection.
I might try a different strategy myself. I'll use mac filtering + restart router once I've done the exploit. This should "kick" my system offline.
My other idea is just to simply change the SSID after I've done the exploit. That way it's no longer connected to the router. Both these methods require you to be respectful to those around you who are using wifi. But since everyone in my home just uses simple stuff like facebook every now and then, I won't really be disturbing anyone much. It'll be a quick shock then done.
I'll also use the USB to ethernet adapter solution whenever I'm in the room with the router. Then maybe later on I'll buy the TP Link powerline adapters, they're also sold on Amazon. I can't see a place for me to plug that box into, I'll need more sockets in my case.
