What's with the Archer love? =P nobody use the rifle? Also i found the ranged attacking to be abit annoying in this game, not sure why.

People like range chars ie: Casters/Throwing classes
Rifles are to modern for people to enjoy although the animation in Soma is quite cute.
If you were a BIG fan of FFVIII you'd probably pick Gun over Bow.

I'm a ranged player as well... usually... but as mentioned before, am playing an assassin now !

I was a Kampf or however you spell it. It was a pretty good class and i did decent damage.

I have and addiction for swords jeje, so I choose the dual swords and i don't have any regrets about it

And does anyone know the answer to my question about using the cheats to change classes? Wouldn't your stats suck and stuff? And how would you get the items?

I used a female Soma, but I don't really like them :\ They go through MP too fast, attacks are very slow and just plain boring. I might just start up a new file with a physical class.

Hmm, i always play aRanged class in most games. But in games like this, i prefer a Melee class. And yeah i like guns\rifles, and i think that ff8 is better then ff7. Whatever that has to do with things xD

Haven't tried the Soma class yet.

btw, when you use guns, there is one skill which makes you "recoil", right? you shoot and lose balance, lol

I made mine a Battler and I used 2H swords and hammers. One of the swords you get early in the game looks like Cloud's from FF7.

Oh, right, Gunslinger and Archer are combined into one Gunner, eh? But I lke using guns, especially those kickass legendaries, ancient bows are so Final Fantasy I, ancient guns? Now that's one thing.. especially if it's ancient cannons, woohoo

If only there were Pistol, as a gunner, i just found a second tier "Rifle" though, it was a machinegun instead of the flintlock rifle. Made me wanna level my gunner abit. Guess i'm going to try both a Gunner and an "archer"

I'm using a Kampf.

The R2 Fist skills cause massive launching of enemies on breaks, and the [R3]-[R3/R2]-[R2] staff combo allows you to petrify enemies, possibly causing a one hit kill if you shatter them.

I like their skills and I don't lose a lot of HP during a battle

i use a shield and 1h weapon with ultra high defenses so the only one that needs healing is me
maxed all R3 skills on the 1h weapen and Shield section and just some points on healing
im at 50% of act 3 right now
but i have some nice R1 and R2 greenies for gunners/Archers
and go Julunge Flame! xD

Soma ftw, they can cast so many spells, and with mana potions its just too easy.

On topic of soma bringer, is there any way to get a lot of life orbs/expert orbs/lion/skills/whatever other super orb there is? Edit: Damn! i apparently didnt save and lost all my good orbs that i synthesized. -sigh-
