I posted another topic about changing from a softmod to a chip so that I could load backups from the disc channel rather than through neogamma, but it looks like the general sensus is to re softmod instead.

So I would like some help.

My wii is a 4.1e

I softmodded with the bannerbomb and hackmii

After that I used cIOSCORP v3.5 Main Installer

All discs worked from the disc channel

I updated the shop channel using the Shop Channel and IOS61 Installer

Discs stopped loading from the disc channel but still worked from neogamma

I uninstalled cIOSCORP v3.5 using the cIOSCORP_v3.x_Uninstaller and installed cIOSCORP v3.6

Still no disc channel

I was told to install the patched ios60 wich I've done and still no disc channel loading.

Can anyone help me get the disc channel back working, Do I remove everything and start again (if so how) or is there something I have left to install?

Looking forwards to getting this working again.

Gambia, The
The Shop update propably updated IOS60 which is the Systemmenu IOS and which is responsable for loading Games through disc channel (at least on 4.1).
If that doesn't help check the hacks in Priiloader. Maybe the Force IOS249 option is on !

Your syscheck looks like you havent got CIOSCORP installed. It seems that you just removed it with the uninstaller and didn't reinstall it.

u sure ur wii is an old wii? U didn't recently send it to ninty for repairs or anythign right? cuz all signs point to you have a new d3-2 drive which won't play backups

Nope, still the same old battered wii the kids have used for years.

Still plays backup discs and USB from neogamma just wont load them from the disc channel anymore.

that's weird....

i would reinstall your system menu (since the disk channel is a part of the system menu, it will get reinstalled and hopefully fix the problem), and try again

Original games still load from the disc channel, just backups that have stopped. Would I still need to do that?

if in the end for some reason we cant figure it out, u can just use my autoboot mod of neogamma r8RC3 (in my signature). It will work just like the disk channel, except it doesn't show the game specific banner when a disk is inserted into the wii.

anyways, hopefully we get it figured out and we can get u corped again (funny, usually I am helping people get uncorped, lol, not the other way around!)

Is there an alternative to cioscorp that lets you use the disc channel? that shows the games up the same as originals and shows what games have been played in the wii log?

QUOTE(longtom1 @ Feb 17 2010, 03:46 PM) Have you changed any pre/priiloader hacks cause some can cause cIOSCORP not to work

I have Priiloader_v0_2 installed

heck, if u really want to start fresh, i would do an official ninty update... it wont even remove cioscorp (just your cios's)... and rehack your wii from square one... thats the advice I usually give if I can't figure out what the problem is... cuz if i can't figure it out (and the rest of gba cant either) it usually means its probably something minor u might have done by accident, and re-softmodding it usually fixes problems like that... if your problem persists, da_letter_a may be interested in your situation (because he's the creator of cioscorp)... maybe he can help

so to answer your question... reinstalling your system menu wont necessarily fix the problem... but it could, and its safe to do (as long as u don't lose power during the install)

btw, priiloader v0.2 is buggy, sometimes always booting priiloader even when u set it to boot something else... u may want to consider updating priiloader

fyi, reinstalling your system menu also uninstalls priiloader
