i possibly could shed come light on this..
if there werent about 30 different versions of the hacks.ini and the pack its self floating around...
my general advice is anyone wanting a full 100% version wait for v.1.0
v.1.0 will be fully finshed, tested and include well.............lol you'll have to wait and see but you'll like it..
in the mean time, read the thread, confer with the other guys and you will be able to get up and running...

in specific to the ISI error...dude theres 1000s of people using that app with no issues...and app coding is the work of a master. my only quick advice i would give to you is try a diff. app and check your using the right file for your region, 45's for PAL, 42's for NTSC.

other than that just sit back and wait, it could be a good weekend.

I think that if they don't read the guide and see where the code is then they shouldn't be installing SoftMii or anything else for that matter that changes IOS's. They're basically waiting for a brick to happen.

Mine. Clarky's is broken for because there is a few errors at the end.

If you actually READ the guide and still have problems (like i did with my HS some while back), i suggest a nice post here..

No offense meant, but most ppl just take things for granted and go on ahead and install without reading up on anything..

Other than that, can't wait to see what the weekend brings!!

Hey great upload bud!
I'm really sorry to bother you guys and gals, I thought I could follow the guide which I read and reread, on the very last part I got to softmii tweak, I opened it up, picked my correct option which was 0000045 (I may not have included enough 0s' sorry

) and it said reading, then it said Installation Failed! This dumbstruck me, I followed everything, so I went back and tried to fix, I went back to the preloader 0.26 and loaded it, then I guess out of frustration I ran it again, and now I cannot access my Wii anymore, all that comes up is a black screen. I screwed up bad, I think I semi bricked because when I turn it on and hold reset that one menu comes up, please tell me there is a way to fix. But gosh how did I screw up though, I followed everything, guess I'm just a bad luck magnet

. Anyways if you guys can help out that would be much appreciated, but if not I understand I messed up and the title did very clearly state I could brick my Wii, but please if anyone can help fix this.......

yes everyone read the guide and then read it again if unsure about anything. I'm no hacker or rocket scientist but the guide is easy to follow and I had no problems at all with the installation. Nice work on this release can't wait for 1.0

Even though I've never semi-bricked my Wii or looked at how to unbrick it I would power your Wii off, Power up and then hold the reset button. Then once in the Preloader launch the HBC and basically just start over at phase 2.

Hopefully someone else corrects me if I'm wrong before he follows this.

Oh and even though I said read the guide, don't follow all of it, it says you need Riskii mod 0.95 pack to install it

And also, I downloaded one of the packs that said wad03 and wad04 cause semi-bricks, can anyone... ummm... tell me if its wrong? I don't want anyone to get bricked but I want to know.

if your NTSC you need to use the 00000042.app file for your console, go into preloader, launch HBC and then the Softmii tweaks and install a 00000042.app file

reboot to the hbc through preloader, and install systemmenu-v290.wad(google for it) and youll be back to normal. If you cant find it, send me a pm.

Unsure, if you can get into the preloader menu, just put the boot.dol from ARC in the root of your SD and boot it up, then refresh to 3.2, and you should be fixed..

@ clarky: Maybe it would be nuce to state in the guide (for now) that english language is a requirement for custom HS to work??

From your flag I'm guessing you have a NTSC/U Wii if so 00000042=NTSC not 00000045=PAL.

I had to bump this since it never got answered. I don't want to be using something thats not better than something else

Also, is it safe to turn WiiConnect24 on with SoftMii? I had it off with Wiigators loader since I wasn't really sure, but I want to be able to look at the news topics every once in awhile.

just get a 0000004x.app that works. run preloader/hbc/softmiitweaks and then install the good one. are you on pal or nstc?pal is 00000045.app and nstc is 00000042.app

@Golfman: I got games to work under this config that never worked under gamma, like Sonic&Mario, Tak & the guardians of gross, Wall-E, and a few others.. and everything from gamma works as well, so, yeah..

Not sure, but its higher than gamma. Problems usually only occur in import games.
