Hacking Softmii support for DL?

I searched the forum several times aswell as their own homepage, but didnt seem to find the answer anywhere.

Do the softmii support DL Games like the way MiiWii are doing? And whats the big difference between these two mods anyway?

Softmii is working on a alternative method instead of using CIOSCORP so you'll have to wait, or you could download the newest CIOSCORP wads from the Miiwii and just install it
