new problem with softchip loader...I had one working before then it dumps a bunch of numbers when I run it. Just reinstalled a copy of r44 I found on here....every disc I tried to run it says "error opening partition" any ideas?

We are at r75

Thanks for the files...I finally got softchip loader installed.. and it seem to finally work again without dumping numbers or errors. However, I've noticed a few games not working which were fine with the softchip loader before....is it because the new cIOS is not compatible?

With super smash bros...it loads.. but when I get to the menu screen it just keeps moving back and forth between the selections for options even without pressing and buttons. I've played this disc before and it worked fine... it's a disc I bought in Asia..I think it's actually dual layer cuz when I try imgburn it.. it says it's 8,0000 something byte instead of 469....

Another is Red Steel...which I think it's a Japanese version...I think I actually ran this game before wihtout even using softchip loader...as my Wii also has a modchip...but now the disc just leads to a black screen with error saying somehting in japanese about disc damaged? If I tried softchip loader to run it....it just becomes blank....

How come they were working fine before and now nothing? Any ideas?

ps: cool medal dj

the guy deleted the link, guess i was right

I've a little question: could anyone explain me how SoftChip can patch the boot.dol to remove the 002 error?

Maybe we should do a little app that patch the boot.dol definitely.

it's basicly the same apploader in all 3 gamma, geckoOS and SoftChip thanx to WiiPower etc...

If you have a main.dol extracted and you want to remove the 002 out of it, just use the Generic Wii Patcher.

It's not the same apploader, the apploader in all three loaders is just very similar. So i could add the same code to remove 002 in them at nearly the same place.

Does it use the truchabug?

Thanks anyway!

If you patch the main.dol, there's no signing involved ==> no trucha bug at all. But if you want to put a modified main.dol in a .iso, you have to sign the .iso, which means you have to trucha sign it.

In case anybody is interested I am compiling the latest SoftChip revisions here
It's automated via cron to check the SVN hourly, and upon a new revision it updates, compiles, and places it in that dir.
So it should always be up to date (unless new revision introduces compiling errors).
R76 downloaded and compiled whilst I was at work

I have confirmed that they are working.
I am providing these binaries to another site, figured I may as well offer them here too if anybody wants them.
