Gaming So, when will GTA IV be announced?

I was hoping GTA IV for the PC would be announced yesterday at the Take Two conference, but they still haven't announced it...
Please, give me some hope!

Wii Port: False, there was some sorta rumor. But it is proven to be false

Computer: Announced on there myspace. Official GTA IV Myspace. Myspace was shown on GTA IV offical website, days before GTA was announced.
There was a bulletin they said "We have been receiving many e-mails on when the computer port will come out," somthing like that. And they said "A GTA IV for the Computer will NOT be released" not exact words, but yeah. Dont expect the GTA IV.

I am very doubtful Rockstar would dismiss the possibility of a PC version of GTAIV unless they're complete idiots.

But oh well there are better games then GTAIV, it didn't deserve the reviews scores that it got but thats just my opinion.

Like Lee79 said we have Spore, and a whole load of other good games coming.

While I like Spore and had some fun with the creature creator, I want to destroy stuff, drive around, do missions, explore, not simulate evolution. 2 completely different games. Don't tell someone to play something completely different than they want.

In Spore you can destroy entire planets, what more do you want.

Crysis has driving, destroying everything (Unlike GTA where 90% of the stuff is static,) you can explore and do missions.

Agreed. I played that game completely twice and in no way does it deserve a ten or 100% from anyone.

I'm still gonna keep my fingers crossed for this, though it's not the end of the world if it doesn't come out. If Fable 2 doesn't come out however, it IS the end of the world, and I'll actually have to get a 360.

IGN seems to say there'll be a Games For Windows event next week, being held separately from E3 for a change. Might see some new PC games there possibly (fingers crossed Fable 2 people!). Anyway, I'm going on holiday on Saturday for 2 weeks, so when I'm back I'll have to update myself on the whole situation lol.

Yup, I have Black & White and Fable The Lost Chapters somewhere around the house. When I looked at their official page, a lot (and I mean a lot) of fans were asking for it to be released on PC. In answer they just said, "For now we want to concentrate on doing the game for the 360, after that, we'll think about what we're doing next."
Seeing as Pete announced they'd finished and were just squishing bugs, now would be the time for announcement. So, yeah, I'd say a high chance. Just a little weird they haven't really confirmed or hinted at anything already.

Oh, and was anyone else disappointed that there was no mention of BioShock 2 in the Take-Two conference? Instead, they said the PS3 would be getting exclusive extra content with BioShock

I doubt it. No new game has been published under the Rockstar brand for PC, period, since San Andreas back in 2005.

Not just GTA.

I really hope it comes out, I played all the GTA games on the PC.. find the controls much better

Now, I don't remember seeing any confirmation about the game not coming out for the PC.. still have some hope

As for Fable 2, if it comes out, it won't be announced so soon, that would be bad for the 360 version sales.. don't expect any announcement before the 360 one comes out..

I would love to see Fable 2 announced for PC on the same release date as 360.
Lionhead has been working secretly to create the PC version, since there really isn't much of a difference between the PC and 360.

That would be good but highly unlikely.
