So... What can I do in ACNH with a game-specific ban?

Cool. Thanks for admitting that my switch is impossible to homebrew, and will never be able to be homebrewed, ever.

Now, let's try Yuzu. Got a shiny new PC recently which doesn't suck and could actually run it. Can you install and run homebrew apps on Yuzu?

You can always buy a pre modded unit, it is not like people doesn't have one for sale, you just got to look and be willing to spend some money. I don't use Yuzu so no opinion on that.

Idk. I just realized that arguing on the forums is not worth it and will not magically hack my switch. And it can also get my account banned...

I think it is more on you the fact that you are not willing to spend some money, there is one guy on the buy/sell section selling his unit, for like 320 Euro so it is a lot cheaper than what it goes for, I think you should accept the fact that you should either get an unpatched unit, or a pre modded one. HWFLY cost like $110, so if you are afraid getting a fake/non working one then just buy a pre modded one, that what I did, I bought a pre modded OLED lately.

On ACNH case it seem it is server side ban, I still wondering how you got banned.

I suggest you use your new PC for pirated Switch games and keep your unhacked Switch for online play, handheld gaming and local multiplayer with your friends. This does mean you'll have to buy a new copy of Animal Crossing if you want to play it online though. I'm assuming that your ban is only tied to the game, not your Nintendo account.

It's a CONSOLE ban, it's tied to the console credentials.

Well, at least it was, it expired months ago.

Wow what next? You'll finally realize that you have to shell money to hack a console?
To install homebrew on my 3DS, I only needed a 32GB SD card, which is:
- Extremely cheap (~$5)
- Readily available in almost every single electronics store
- Widely usable in almost every device
- Usable out of the box, without any special electronical processes

A switch modchip is none of these 4 things.

Funny people in the OG Xbox and Xbox 360 Scenes never complained about Modchips, those were essentially required since on every one of those systems, no softmods there Afaik.

Switch users were extremely spoiled by the prevelance of RCM mode but Kate tempkin stomped that one out real quick, so suck it up and Join the league of other modders in previous generations who embraced modchips as their only option for running homebrew. No one in the 360 Modding scene has complained about modchips or begged for softmods (at least no one noteworthy) so no point in doing it here.

Not impossible, you just don't want to. If you really want to you'll do what I did with my Switch lite and hire someone else to solder it in for you.
And WHO EXACTLY DO I HIRE? There aren't places that specifically advertise "WE INSTALL SWITCH MODCHIPS!!!111111111". We have a relative electrician which is extremely bad and no electrical device ever left him non-bricked.

You are going to have to be more creative and find a solution. Complaining on a public forum won’t cut it. None of us are in a position to produce any changes to how things are at Nintendo so it‘s a waste of time and energy (however entertaining it might be). If you want it bad enough you will take the advice given here and dig deep to find a solution that fits your specific needs. We’ve given you all the best advice possible. The rest is up to you. Good luck!

stop crying, any cellphone repair shop can do this job. A well informed amateur can to this job. It is not rocket science, the switch board is just a tablet board, period.

Anyway, usually I got really sad when I see someone getting banned, but for some reason I'm happy that happened to you, and the fact that it was not due to homebrew or piracy make this ban even more delicious.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
