I always gave my computer/labtops nicknames based off there actualy names, like my inspiron was named ron.. ya okay not the best one...

But as I built the computer im using now I call it Gigabiter sense it has a Gigabyte motherboard in it.

I normally name master computers MAINDESK_[Additional Descriptor Here] and other desktops DESK_[Additional Descriptor Here]. Likewise, I normally name laptops LAPTOP_[Additional Descriptor Here]. I've somewhat been tempted to make a computer named SECURE_YOUR_CONNECTION_BETTER and then connecting to various easily compromised wireless connections, but I don't think those people actually check their logs so they'd never see it.
