if I'm able to sell my iPod Touch 2G with 32GB for $230-280, he'll buy me an iPhone 3G. But I want the iPhone 4.

Should I try to convince my dad to buy me an iPhone 4 or should I just take the iPhone 3G?

Wait until all the crap gets ironed out on the iPhone 4...like losing reception from your hand or your keys, by the time that happens, you'll have enough money

My dad isn't actually concerned that much with the iPhone 4 itself. He's concerned about the plan that it's probably going to come with. Plus, I don't think $280 will afford an iPhone 4.

I'm 12, where am I supposed to find that much money?

That won't sell :/

You can get a new one that size for 300$saving 20$ may as well get the new one. no offense

230$ is a good deal.

Good luck

You can get a NEW

3rd GEN iPod touch for 300$

Why buy an older 2dn gen for 20$ less then the v=newest generation?

Its not a good deal. the new iPods ave more ram, and more features in iOS4

So be it - but no flash support, no multitasking, bad reception, crap battery life, ridiculously over-priced, an inferior camera, and no Swype all make the iPhone a complete deal killer for me.

I think you should rethink your options.

If you're 12 why the hell do you need an iPhone. I'm 15 and I still borrow my Mom's old phone whenever I like goto the movies or something.

Same here. I don't see why kids need all these FUCKING EXPENSIVE and USELESS phones... Are their parents so naive that they think it is really what their child deserves? Kids want toys, not god damn phones... I never even got a phone till I turned 16 (which was December last year). Kids get spoiled WAY too much nowadays...

I can rant on this subject for ages, but this is Blogs, so no one would read it anyway. I might post a full rant on this another day.

I'm 16, and my brothers are 11 and 13. My phone is an old model that uses buttons while theirs use touch screens. Mine was bought in 2008. I don't see why young people these days need all of these new gadgets when a phone was originally invented just for communication.

Isn't 16 still considered a bit young?
