If one knows what he or she is doing, there's no real need for Haxchi, and CBHC would just be for convenience. For people who don't know what they're doing, I recommend Haxchi since they're likely to accidentally update to 5.5.2.

First, the browser exploit is a permanent exploit if one knows how to effectively block updates. Second, the browser exploit does not require an internet connection if one knows how to self-host. Having an internet connection also isn't a problem.

I suppose, but I just think it's in every way inferior to Haxchi. It's like if back when people were using menuhax on the 3DS, they just used the browser to load CFW instead. Nobody did that then so I guess that's why I'm confused.

I would say Haxchi/CBHC is generally superior solely because of its coldboot option, but they both have pros and cons:

Haxchi pros:

• Coldboot option
• Easily used without internet connection
• Has yet to be patched by Nintendo (probably won't ever be)

Haxchi cons:

• Secondary exploit
• Costs money
• Brick risk with CBHC

Personally, I don't use Haxchi because I don't feel like spending $7 just for a coldboot option.

yeah, self-host with xampp. it's very easy to do as long as u have the hosting files. I personally use cbhc even though the only games I play r ones I bought. I just like having the option to play anything from the get-go, but I understand it's not for everyone especially if u have family members who could mess something up. the same is true of regular haxchi. just block updates and/or delete the update folder to be safe from any accidental update.
