I wouldn't call it a brick since recovery mode worked, but definitely awful to have that happen to you.

PS don't share youtube tutorials because they aren't easily updated and will just confuse people later on. Link text guides like 3ds.guide

Being honest, i wish i had enough technical knowledge to create something like that for the wii u scene. the 3ds.guide has to be one of the best things ive seen any homebrew scene have, ever.

It's understandable that a youtube tutorial is easier to follow than our holy guide. For a newbie it looks very confusing tbh.

this could be achieved by doing a modular video - parts will be updated as the guide gets updated -
snippets via video

There is a famous youtuber that made a tutorial with the new fasthax + safehax but forgot to delete his own otp from the files he shared.
The result: hundreds of followers complaining about bricks

every poor soul got "yakareado", this is why i'm recommending every hardmod client (just nfirm downgrade) to refer to plailects guide as it has clean files instead of the ones used in Yakara's videos, as he edits the software to make them more "straight forward" but opens gap to even bigger user errors, or leave the work to me and pay for the time i waste in their console instead of doing anything else

Im wondering why Yakara didn't deleted his OTP and why other people used it? Im pretty sure Yakara should have explained something about not using others OTP , if he didn't then it was basically his fault :/ . But if he said it why other people used it? ._.

im a complete noob to 3ds and today i went from offical 11.2.0-35 to the same firmware but with cfw by following the guide so it can be done if you just take your time and follow the step

probably he just uploaded everything to have the video ready to go and used the files that were meant to go with it WHILE making the video, such a fatal error imo, but still bugs me that he has an ad in his website about hardmod and softmod services for the colombian 3ds users and the bricked consoles could as well go to his hands for repair with hardmod and then a9lh'd fully working, just an assumption on easy money by my side. Personally i blame him for being so irresponsible and i really hope that he repairs the consoles (at least the ones owned by colombians) for free.

i think a shoutout to the hardmodders in the other countries is to be made asap, i don't find correct that 3ds users wanting to get into homebrew and got a brick should be left behind. I just hope right now that they haven't deleted their nand backups due to anger or frustration

No, if we're talking about the same youtube guide he included his otp.bin which immediately bricked anyone who used it.

We were aware that's why I added a comment to download and replace files.
Now, I have updated the link on the description so that it won't happen again.

I will update it once again when there's an update on files. (Surely, the method of installing is the same. If not, I'll make another video)

So,I think we all have seen MANY post of users who bricked their 3ds.
And the main problem ist of course,that they weren't following plailects guide.
I saw people writing that they were following a Youtube guide instead of plailect's guide.
There are many people who bricked because of using the wrong files or people who were trying to press the Powerbutton while downgrading to 2.(something).
And the main answers were:,,I took to long,I didn't want to wait" or there were also people who wrote that they were trying to downgrade twice to 2.(something) because their games didn't work=result : Brick.
So for everyone who is going to install A9LH please read carefully and be patient,I mean,Waithax is named like this for a reason.
And follow 3ds.guide.
It's pretty much the best website for getting A9LH and it's better than every other Youtube video so far.
So please be carefull and read everything slowly and if you have question,just ask.
Nobody is going to kill you If you have questions...

So good luck for everyone who is going to install A9LH
