Hacking So, is ps4 hackable today or not ?

Hi guys, I see many post and Im bit confused, today, does ps4 is hackable or not ? I mean with firmware over 1.76 ?

If not, there is hope of future ? what's the last news ? I can't wait to have freedom like we have on ps3. Would it be possible soon ?

Firmware up to 5.05 is hackable. But you're unable to play any games that require firmware above 5.05 so all the new games like Spiderman Red Dead 2 are unhackable.

Asking about the future is always pointless when it comes to hacking. It'll happen when/if it happens.

5.05 is not so bad, there is any tutorial for that ? it is possible to downgrade the firmware at this time ?

My good friend has a hack for 6.02 (6.10) so I know there is a hack ...

I personally do not have a PS4, so I do not care any time out PS4 6.xx JB ...
But I know their group does not plan to release this JB, why should they release it? They have no reason..

So I think you can expect another JB in December 2019 (maybe later but certainly not before) (JB = jailbreak)

There may be several groups that can deal with it, so this may be the case for another group.

Group from a friend does not want to give out to the public for one reason, because it is an endless circle ... people would want new and new versions (which is very simple but annoying). Codes are public and community can create a simple CFW if she wanted to...

Your uncle is wrong, Nintendo stopped hacking it because Sony gave them the keygen. It's such a pain typing in the 128 character key with a DS4, I asked them to support USB keyboard but they say the stack isn't fully initialised at that point of the boot. In the factory they use a pin jig to inject it into the DUH consoles, so they don't care.

One with 5.05 and hen setup in the user guide part of the PS4.

And one that can use the latest firmware for all the latest releases.

The trade off is the lack of new releases for games that require 5.05,while the benifit allows backups that work with 5.05 and under aswell as unsighned code.

Agreed. Just picked up a RDR PS4 Pro bundle from Gamestop's deal this past weekend. Now I've got a PS4 Pro that I can play online in addition to my 5.05 PS4 Pro.

The library is pretty limited though lots of PSN titles even the older weren’t dumped, mine on 5.05 still sitting around. Consider every game came since May 2018 unplayable.

No proof, no one gonna believe you that all. Same thing everytime with all these phony developers claiming to have kernel exploit lol. 5.5x one might not even be truth to me anyway.

Though there are grumblings of people looking into 6.XX kernel, we should all put it to the back of our minds and don’t expect anything anytime soon.

Something could come of it, nothing could come of it.

The best advice as ever: KEEP YOUR CONSOLE ON AS LOW A FIRMWARE AS YOU CAN. Perhaps just put it away for 6 months, get some fresh air, and then see what’s happening.

or how about just one stored in the closet. Only reason I bought a PS4 in the first place was to play GTA online with friends. Already beat the game on modded 360, but was disgusted the following year PSN+ and pretty much all the offerings were Steam Indies. The store was nothing but a flood of costume DLC. I lost no sleep over storing it away until the 4.05 exploit. Played through a half dozen exclusives then went back to PC. It's the same games.

And when Youtubers boast showing off all the ps4 titles they installed onto their system I chuckle, because I know they will never play them. Thousands of titles I felt the need backing up on Xbox360 and PS3 that I know I will never ever find the motivation to ever play.

I will play Red Dead 2 one of these days, but not losing any sleep over it.

there are plenty of games to play, including Ps2 classics and homebrew.
