Hacking So if a PS3 is on the latest update, you need to buy a device to downgrade it to 3.55?

Right when you guys posted was when I noticed that it said super slim. That, and it also says there's a PS4 jailbreak lol.

Eh, it was wishful thinking because I really don't want to spend money, but I guess I have no choice.

Believe me, I wouldn't have tried it unless a bunch of people in this thread said it was 100% legit.

So do I have to get all three of these to do this if my model is CECHK01?
No just select one of them or send it to a downgrader to save yourself the hassle
It only takes 1h30min to 2h to do a phat and then put it on cfw

So an E3 flasher would def work for mine? I thought it depended on how old the phat model was?

And are there any specific companies in the US that will downgrade them in case I'm too dumb to figure this out?

CECHA to CECHG are nand consoles
These use progskeet or teensy++2.0

CECHH to CECHP are nor consoles
These can use all 3 programers

If it really is easy to use an e3 flasher, would it be better to learn it myself so I know?

And is my model actually compatible with an E3 flasher? I thought it depended on whether it was Nor or Nand (or something like that. Like I said, I'm clueless).

Yea but are you part of a company who does this or just one person?

Told you repeatedly yours is a nor
And not many company's will do this as cheep as a downgrader
I would say 100 and higher as company's will use the high end tsop programmers not the low end scene developed programmers

Oh ok, so my PS3 can use any. Gotcha. And thanks.

In that case I will probably go with an E3 flasher.

Does it matter which E3 flasher I buy? What I mean is are all E3 flashers the same?

Sorry about that, when I first read your post I was confused because I didn't think all 3 of them could work. That was my bad.

Having owned a fat PS3 with Rebug CFW for 3 years, i'd thought about replacing it with a slim and giving it to a friend, sucks that the CFW installation still requires an E3 flasher, rather than a nifty kernel exploit that Sony could never patch.

Back then, I'd sent my PS3 off to a gentleman on the psx-scene forums to have it downgraded, but I doubt he's in business anymore, his last login was over 2 years ago. Might be other people around that could perform the downgrade for a fee, be prepared to pay shipping to and from, though
