Hacking So F*cking Confusing....? Help? SD/TF Card Error Blue Card. Just want launch GW w/o internet

All I want to do is launch GW without using internet.

So I've been following all the videos rather then reading all the different long tutorials like Mr. Mario and stuff. So far I've got the red card working with my .3ds games able to play on my 3ds and XL. I also downgraded it as well. I remember watching videos about launching that emuNAND or whatever it is on the icon to the left of downgrade and people talking about it but don't exactly know what to do. All I want to is play without worrying about the internet and eventually do stuff so I can access the e-shop etc.

I used a fresh SD card and used the 2.7 Omega launcher data on it's roots. I then installed everything else on my micro SD card. However I didn't format it because I have GB's of multiple games already installed. Anyways I put it in the blue card and try to launch Deep Labyrinth but get SD/TF Card Error so I can't get into GW mode.

What am I doing wrong? What do I need to format or do whatever NAND I need to before I start saving too much games?

You don't have some small mSD card youncan use with the blue card?

What size is the mSD card your are trying to use and how has it been formatted?

First turn off your 3ds.
I assume you downgraded to 4.02 which is the downgrade on the Gateway site if your US.
You need the ultra 3.04 download not the omega ones. though they may be the same use the ultra download for the blue card put all those files in your microsd card (it has to be formatted fat32) then insert it in your blue card.
(You want Ultra launcher.dat on your SD card because if you update your emunand (which you should) to 9.5 it will still boot in emunand)
Turn on 3ds with blue card inserted.
Click the fake game.
it should open. Look for the gateway app. (You cant use the same micro sd card you had in your red card as the card has to be fat32 format!)
Click the gateway app choose your region and it will install the exploit.
Then you can take it out.
Turn off your 3ds.
Turn it on with red card in it.
Do exploit (settings->other Settings->profile->Nintendo DS profile it will boot into emunand mode (if you want the gateway menu you must hold down the left 3ds button before it launches or it will just go into emunand).

Remember Emunand is only launched after you go through lanuncher.dat (look for dragon) and format your SD card for emunand, so DO NOT UPDATE your System unless you see GW3D on your top screen in settings.

Sounds like maybe you have the card formated to exFAT instead of FAT32. Won't work that way on the blue card, only on the red card. Either get another micro SD for the blue card, or backing up your card to you computer then reformatting it to FAT32 is your best bet.

If you have another DS flashcard that works on the 3DS (like DSTWO), you can use that instead of the blue card, just copy GW_INSTALLER.NDS to wherever you keep your DS roms and run it from the DS card.

Thanks for the replies and help guys. I have 3 micro SD cards for my hacked VITAs. So when I ordered my gateway I also ordered (and payed for at modchipsfactory) an 8bit kingston. What I got was a shitty Taiwan knockoff that broke after installing. Actually I just realized the VITA cards look like micro SDs but aren't. Well I guess I'll hafta backup everything on my micro SD card. I did have the luxury of using my 4GB SD card that came with my XL instead of formatting my other SD card I've been using, I hope that isn't the problem?

Its not your SD card that card is just for launcher.dat and any .cia files you install. You can get a 8 gig microsd card for like 5$ at microcenter.com and then you can also use it to run ds games btw on the bluecard so having two microsd cards has its advantages. the vita memory cards are microsd cards btw.

Just realized that I still had it on FAT32 as well.

So I'm thinking I'll have my regular 3ds downgraded hopefully with GW start up from Profile. (In case the world ends and I need games to play in my bunker while hidden from encroaching zombies)
And then my 3DS XL which I really actually do need to play most video games because the regular's screen size is getting too small for my eyes on just regular NAND or whatever it is as well as to keep updated for CODE NAME STEAM etc...

Once I have it on GW mode I can go on the e-shop? Also I need to know because I lost my backup and need to redownload Fire Emblem again. Hope I can remember my sign in BS...

NM restarted tried it a second time and it worked. Oksay so now I can run it off my card, but I've never done format emuNAND. Should I do it?
