Can anyone confirm SMB working using Windows Vista??
works great on Windows 7 64bit. Wont matter if you have vista, smb is mb. Do not map straight to the folder. Needs a share name (sub folder accessible from ip)
ip: ip must match the ip of your share
press start - run - type in "cmd" then enter - type "ipconfig /all" then enter to see ips on your mqchine
note: if you have multiple network cards, i.e. wired and wireless, both will have different ips where wired is probably what you want
share name: on another pc type open file explorer and enter \\Yourip i.e. \\192.168.0.190
you should see a list of subfolders. pick the one (best to have no spaces, abnormal characters or long folder names past 255 chars)
i.e. lets say you see a subfolder Games then your share should be Games
username and pass: if you dont know these or have them set use your normal user ones sjould be fine
cheers. sorry for typing no autocorrect on playbook
