SNES Super Scope Question..?

Can the SNES Super Scope be used with any SNES Super Scope Receiver? I only have a receiver, and really want a Gun with or without scope... But I want to know if they can be used together if they didn't come together... (That is, Super Scope A with Scope Receiver B)

I would think they can, yes. However, remember a scope will not work with a modern TV. Anything better than a 60Hz CRT and you're out of luck.

Oh, I've got a nice old TV... I just need to know if my receiver is compatible with any only Scope...

The super scope works wireless via IR and can be used with receivers from other super scopes
