It appears I was able to dump the ST-0018 program ROM... amusingly, through the controller port.

The ST-0018 is used by Hayazashi Nidan Morita Shougi 2.
It holds the distinction as the only coprocessor not yet emulated, and the only game not yet playable.
Completing this would give us 100% total compatibility.

So ... that does it. 100% compatibility with every official game. All of them have been tested. No (known) bugs and no hacks.

I wish the last game was more exciting, but what can you do?

What's interresting about this is that now we know what's inside that game, an ARMv3 chip running at 21mhz (from what I've read), pretty impressive for running a shougi game.

Keep in mind that emulators like ZSNES and SNES9X go for overall compatibility and performance for the most popular titles, whilst BSNES will go for 100% accuracy.

Well, maybe it's because, all the bad ass games got emulated already? Well, either way, um... good job? Now get crackin' with the N64, GC, Wii! -whiplash-

inb4-"These guys don't emulate anything other than SNES, noob!" - It was a joke. XP

Cool I guess, but who's interested in that game? :P
I'll keep using Snes9x anyway since it has more features. I was a long time fan of ZSNES until it got a timing glitch that made Bubsy unplayable that has not been fixed to this day, love that game.
I see no reason to switch to BSNES as long as all the games I have work fine on Snes9x. Also one big advantage of Snes9x is that it's been ported to many platforms, such as Wii and Android.

It's interesting, actually. Some time ago, byuu started working on integrating Super Game Boy emulation, which somehow evolved into GBC and NES support. None of it's anywhere near as accurate as the SNES emulation, as far as I'm aware, but it's interesting nonetheless. Anyways, consider this: with the processing power needed to run bsnes at full-on accuracy, and the step up both in computing and graphics the 3D era saw, would it really be worthwhile at this point to start working at completely accurate N64/GC/Wii emulation?

This is very impressive indeed. I've been following the BSnes message board in the past few weeks and i have to say, these guys are awesome. This is the State of the art of SNES emulation.

Now if only they did N64 emulation as well.
The emulation scene for the N64 makes me sad. :(
