Damn I can get SD working ok, but not USB.

My USB drive is formatted to a single primary FAT32 partition and works ok for USB loaders.

I can see the drive being initialised and accessed, but then nothing happens.

The NAND on the USB HD is the exact same one taken from the SD card.

Any tips?

I can't understand how I'm supposed to create slot.bin. Can someone give me an example? Also, if I want to use DI, do I rename boot2_di.bin to boot2.bin?

Still important because I want to run MPT

Where does armboot.bin go after compiling? I get an armboot.elf but I tried that and it makes my drive flash blue, then I tried to rename it to armboot.bin with a blue drive again...
And I know it's not my sd card because it works fine with an older version of sneek.

With the updated StartupGuide. Finally, I compiled it!

Now. Can I run games from USB? I don´t understand the DI Module Guide XD.

Edit: Black Screen went I run my Wii with NAND folder in USB and UNNEK folders in their place. It seems my SD card with UNEEK SD files

You don't create it. Sneek creates it. Just put only MPT on the HDD and it will start and create the slot.bin file. And yes, you rename boot2_di.bin to boot2.bin
QUOTE(cwstjdenobs @ Mar 21 2010, 02:57 PM) It's a bmp tileset thingy like preloader.
Thank you. Now as I looked at it this seems clear. One Charakter is 16px x 8px and I guess they are sorted after their ASCII Code.

I think you could dump wii_font_bitmap form here for use as font.bin.
The es module's source is c&p from preloader so the format should be the same...
BTW. I tried to included the "bitmap" directly into the module but I got errors on compiling - I think the modules get's to large if you do that...

On a side note: The latest "build script" from det1re (link in StartUpGuide) is again different from the one in the svn trunk when it comes to the IOSKpatch/elfins stuff...
I really would like a statement from crediar what exactly is the correct usage and the correct kernel modules...

The difference in the Makefile file handling doesn't matter.

But det1re's script requestes xE.app from IOS70 and the the x1.app from IOS60. I haven't seen any note from crediar if that is how he uses/intended it.
And when patching the xE.app for SD access with DI module the script from the trunk supplies the commandline switches -S and -D whereas det1re only builds one boot2_sd.bin without -D switch.
But additionally this script patches x1.app...

By the way, here is an image for all the people who don't know hot to setup the games folder (the example is Wiiplay, but it's the same for all games, I just used Wiiplay because of it's small size):
have the files set up like this must be a problem with my nand dump

What if there's more than one .dol file, such as with MPT? Do they go in files or sys?

You got the "Can't read disc" error in disc channel? I guess you are using a PAL Wii/game? You have to create a region.bin file in sneek folder on the HDD and but 00 00 00 02 into it for Europe (I'll upload the PAL file if you can't create it upload is here (only 4 Byte )), if this file doesn't exist it will use USA mode, that's like playing imported games and so the Wii won't play it

have tried region codes in region.bin for both PAL 00 00 00 02 and NTSC-U 00 00 00 01
