I keep getting connect() failed 10061, trying to use sneek installer to get ios files, got the sneek files fine, but keep getting this error when trying for ios 80 ticket
Use NUSD, put key.bin in with it in the folder. Grab IOS 60 v6174, and IOS 80 v6943. I don't remember exactly what files you need, but those are for sure where they come from. Be sure to click "Decrypt", to get the .app files.

QUOTE(Luriden @ Nov 25 2010, 11:51 AM) Also, if I replace the armboot on my SD that was installed with BootMii with the armboot found on the first page of this guide, I can no longer start BootMii, I just get a black screen, my Wii freezes and my disc tray starts flashing blue.
Sneek replaces the armboot for bootmii, and so it should launch automatically. The blue flashing disk tray means sneek started loading, but couldn't find files where it wanted them to be (for any number of reasons). Could you try to describe the pattern of the flashes? Short, long, number, etc.

It should launch automatically when I start the Wii or when I select BootMii in HBC? The flashes are about 1 second apart and the flashes themselves are short. Like stated before, Preloader will flat-out tell me that I don't have BootMii IOS correctly installed if I try to load it there, it won't even get to the point with the flashing drive, that's just from launching BootMii in HBC.

Try another SD-card

I can't seem to compile it quite right.

I've been using the complete softmod guide and i'm in the state where I use the command build_boot2.cmd.

I've print screened a part of the process, it might be odd since I tried with another IOS from crediars faq just this time but it didn't work earlier either.

help plz, some small pieces are in swedish.

I can't get SNEEK to load a game disc, previously been successful on the same usb device. I'm using SNEEK+DI.

The menu is 4.2U, and the game is PAL. I tried using the Sneek menu to switch the region to PAL, but the disc still "could not be read".

I doubt it's an IOS issue, because it's a virgin 4.2 NAND and the game was released in 2008.

It could be a bad dump, but I've used the same dump in the past. I had to delete it from the drive because I only have a 2GB spare USB drive. (Can't wait to convert my WBFS HDD to SNEEK formatting)

It could be a bad conversion from ISO to filesystem dump. I put these files, converted from ISO using "WIT copy F:/eo.iso F:/eo/ --fst", in the games folder on USB:
/RFBP01/cert.bin
/RFBP01/tmd.bin
/RFBP01/ticket.bin
/RFBP01/files/[game files]
/RFBP01/sys/[other files]

Python isn't in your path, before compiling type "set PATH=%PATH%;c:\python26 (or python27 whichever you have installed)

When creating armboot.bin(advanced system properties->enviromental variables->path) or in the process of compiling sneek in general?

perhaps I should understand it already but this is the first time I do anything advanced on any computer.

Either will work, adding it to your path in the environmental variables screen will allow python to work from any console any time, where as what I told you to do would only work in that specific console session. At a command prompt you can only run programs that are in the PATH folders, in the current folder, or if you specify the folder (typing c:\python26\python would work, but the scripts that build SNEEK assume its in your PATH). Otherwise the computer doesn't know where to find the program you're trying to run. I hope that makes sense!

I have searched in a lot of pages in this topic, but i can't find the answer.

I'm using sneek installer v1.05, the latest.
I have followed the instructions of page 1 to the letter.

problem 1:
When i press get files at IOS FILES in the installer, i get:
Error at recv(): 10054

problem 2:
To solve this i download ios80 with NUS.
I do have Decrypt selected, but when i use the 00000001.app, sneek installer says it has the wrong file size.
i have tried v6943 and 6944, and also the one from ios70v6687, none of them work.

So what now?

edit: solved.
Sneek Installer v1.05 needs
00000001.app from ios60v6174
0000000e.app from ios80v6943

Okay, i've got Uneek+DI working with 1 game.
CSI Fatal Conspiracy is loaded in the disc channel and i can play it from USB HDD.
yaywii.gif

But next thing is choosing the second game, how do i acces the sneek menu?
remote press 1 doesn't show anything.
gc controller is nog working at all.

I'm testing Sneek+DI next.

Nope, same thing.

When Uneek+DI or Sneek+DI is started, the game is visible in the disc channel and i can play it.
However i can not select a different game.
I also tried to press 1 after i started bootmii via HBC from the real nand.
With the old Sneek you could enter the config menu of sneek at that moment, but not with the new sneek.

Something i've missed here?
I'm sure i did everything according to the discriptions, except for the use of IOS80 000001.app because it didn't work.
Anyway to fix that if this is the cause?

Edit:
pffwww, solved it.
In the old sneek i didn't need the font.bin because then it was only for NTSC wii's.
Turns out font.bin is now also needed for PAL Wii's.

The menu is little hicky, but it works, i can now select different games.
Both CSI Deadly intent and fatal conspiracy now work from USB HDD...Yippieee

Next step is testing splinter cell 4

Works like a charm, thanks to all.

i thought i remember something like this but im not sure where to find it or if its even real...

i want to have multiple uneek nands, and have a program select which nand i want to use. for example:

usb:\nand1\*nand goes here*
usb:\nand2\*nand goes here*

is there something that does this? if so what does it and where can i get it. my memory is fuzzy but i think i seen that on uloader so please correct me if this cant be done with sneek or uneek.

SNEEK/UNEEK always read the emulated NAND data from the root of the storage device, so no, SNEEK can't do this (unless you modify the source, of course).

I also had the same need, so I put together a simple wiibrew application to help me do that.
It is a raw application but so far serves my need. In case you are interested, here is the link to switch2uneek. Source code is available so feel free to modify it as you wish.
And I made a video to show how it works (see below).

well for any noobs that want an easy to use sneek compiler here http://www.mediafire.com/?v592gl159d999eb

unrar then start sneekycompiler.exe

if this is the first time to compile sneek then choose 1 and install all of the programs listed

if not first time then choose 2 and get the sneek build files then choose revision of sneek

I want to thank all the devs whose programs i am using Crediar(sneek),X-flak&Leathl(nusfilegrabber),and the makers of the rest of the programs as I am not sure who made them.

I know this isnt much of a program but i am sure it may help some people and if you would like my source or any of the files i have please pm me or email me (names are in program).

I woulsd also like to thank connac and megzig for all there help to me (the noob).

Thanks man that is what i want. the only problem is how it accomplishes this feat. i have my main triiforce nand on the root. so this program just copies the folder to the root of the drive then launches it. i appreciate the link though would have drove me crazy to not remember that program.

All of this trouble to run COD 3, jeebus.

A while ago I could get ModMii working, now I can't, then I also got the connect () 10061 error, also something about 00000000000000001.app not being in the correct place. All of this trouble to run one game.

Yes with DIOS MIOS but it only barely works for a few games. The project overall was discontinued so you have to find the diosmios source in the usual places.

hello people.

I use Uneek, works fine with several USB HDD's.\
Just 1 HDD does not start and the blue LED keeps blinking.

question:
where can i find a list with the explanation of the blue LED blinking dvd drive?

I have read that when there is an error with something (nand, sd, hdd) the dvd drive will blink in patterns.
So to find out what is wrong we need to know what pattern is which error.

Thanks in advance.

QUOTE(http://code.google.com/p/sneek/source/detail?r=126)My drive just blinks =
When your drive blinks in a pattern something went wrong, here is a list of what each pattern means:
* 1:The TMD of the requested title is missing
* 2:The TMD of the IOS the current title uses is missing
* 3:The kernel.bin is not found on sd and or usb
* 4:Failed to load the requested IOS (missing IOS, missing TMD/Ticket/content)
* 5:Could not open or read sd:/sneek/kernel.bin
I just get a black screen = * assure that you put the NAND FS dump into the root of the SD card

i sure love sneek/uneek+di , crediar done a wonderful job !
