That's great to hear. But the first time it took over 10 minutes after the press A screen and the menu still wasn't loaded. So I turned the Wii off. After a reboot the Wii freezes when you press the A button.

Perhaps there is a bug in discex. I use wii backup manager to convert one of my game on harddrive to iso file(only game partition), then use discex to extract necessary files for sneek, but discex says it's not a wiidisc and the iso file become a 0KB file.

One more thing, this may be another workaround to fix "This disc can not be read" problem, delete the region.bin!
Mine is 4.2U, and always get disc-not-readable problem, but after deleting region.bin, everything works fine now.

Here's a way to install HBC natively on the SNEEK NAND:
1. Delete HBC completely from your Sneek Nand (or never have it installed)
2. Install this wad to your sneek nand (using showmiiwads): HBC Installer - HBCI.wad
3. It will load, in this order: usb:/boot.elf, usb:/apps/hackmii_installer_v0.6/boot.elf, sd:/boot.elf, sd:/apps/hackmii_installer_v0.6/boot.elf
4. Now HBC should install to your Sneek nand through the normal installer.

Follow the awesome guide, I setup uneek successfully, and update it to 4.2u. Thank you guys....

In virgin nand, I install "HBC Installer - HBCI.wad" with showmiiwads, and put hackmii_installer_v0.6's boot.elf to the both root of sd and usb, but when I run the channle it's just cause the sim-nand restart and nothing happened....

I try to hack the sim-nand with bannerbomb, but it frozen in scam screen (I've waited for a half hour, no "Press 1 to continue" appeared). With the Multi-Mod Manager I delete all of the stub IOS, but it always hangs when update IOS or TBR, it seems that the sim-nand is refuse to be writen...

I am puzzle, someone help me, thank you !

I have had the same issue with installing HBC. I installed the Installer with ShowMiiWads, and it's there, and the file is on the USB (I'll try the SD now), but it just exits to the SM again.

Any ideas?

I got it to work, I recreated a NAND from scratch. The first time I had a backup gamecube disc in my DVD drive which broke the first start.

Install IOS61 from NUS with ShowMiiNand

The IOS exists in my IOS list, and even try for any other versions of IOS61, but not good things happened...

Thanks for your hard work ChokeD. I started trying to setup Sneek Di with boot2_di.bin It took me ages messing with a USB stick that wasnt compatible lol the games would show up on disc channel but would just black screen and i couldnt use any installed channels. Well that was 3 days ago then i thought why not change my USB for another and bam the games started to boot. But i wasnt satisfied with that i wanted to be able to use Wiiware. So i tried the boot2_sd.bin and was able to use my Wiiware again. But then the cherry ontop came the Sneek Di faq, i patched the 0000000e.app with IOSKpatch and i had the best of both worlds Disc channel loading and my Wiiware. I did have to place a region.bin in sneek folder on USB for some games to boot.
Anyway thank you ChokeD for making it much easier to find all the information in the 1 spot

Tried using this guide. But the screen is black and the drivebay flash: short, long, long.
What does that meen?

WONDERFUL Guide ChokeD!!! If everyone follows this guide, they will have an excellent (and working) compile of Sneekv2. There will be bugs everyone needs to understand. It is only the 80th revision so far and with my experience it is working fine. Everyone has to understand though, it can take YEARS to get a FLAWLESS program. Ever wonder how much debugging goes on creating the games we love so much???!? It definately doesn't only take 80 Revisions.

Happy Gaming everyone!!!

So... does anyone know the format for games using part.bin? I'm trying to use r78 with part.bin files and I'm getting an "Eject Disk Error" (meaning it's not done correctly).

Anyone get SNEEK+DI working with rev 80?

I created a virgin US NAND and updated to 4.2 (Thanks to this guide!) and got SNEEK to work on rev 80. But once I use boot2_di.bin (renamed to boot2.bin) and di.bin, i just get a black screen (no health warning).

I swapped it with the modded version by conanac and this works. Anyone have any ideas?

i had this problem
i fixed it by making my sneek stuff on usb my primary partition worked first time after that

I made my FAT32 partition as the active primary partition and my WBFS as primary partition (don't know how to change it to something else) and still doesn't work. Does it not like the WBFS partition?
Make sure the sneek partition is the first partition on the disk... in other words: delete all partitions then format the sneek fat32 partition first then make all other partitions.

Ok so I tried your suggestion still no luck. I noticed when I run build_boot2.cmd. I get 1 error message near the end

make[1]: Leaving directory `/e/SNEEK/mini-tree-mod/elfloader'
MAKEBIN armboot.bin
make: python: Command not found
make: *** [armboot.bin] Error 127
make: Leaving directory `/e/SNEEK/mini-tree-mod'

Will this matter? I thought we use the armboot.bin rev 47 from the google page

After creating a virgin NAND, is there a way to make it look like my Wii? To explain more fully, what files on the NAND dump make my Wii "My Wii"? Something obviously allows the Nintendo servers to recognize it. Also, did I do something wrong that the Wii Shop doesn't work, but everything else seems to?

Thanks

I used to get that error also but it's only because python needs set in the PATH system variables. It never kept me from building a valid SNEEK of any kind. I believe it only pertains to the armboot.bin only. Once I put python I still get an server import error so I said piss on it I'll just go grab the armboot from the google code page.

Just open the \mini-tree-mod\Makefile with a text editor and replace

MAKEBIN = python makebin.py

with

MAKEBIN = /c/python26/python makebin.py
