Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor

A SRPG grid movement type but has Turn-based battles... there are demons obviously. Its part of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise.

It was released in Japan, but seemed to have a heavy language barrier. Its in my "RPG worth waiting for" list, glad its coming out 23rd this month according to Gamefaqs

its not.
but the original megami tensei are better than persona anyways x].
I beat the game(jpn version), and I must say its really good.
It has a big list of monsters you can use, as well as fuse together.
There are multiple endings. The story is really nice (i liked it at least).
The game in general is quite challenging, especially the last boss. He is over powered.
You can basicly train yourself how you want (in my case I went for a 'mage' increasing magical powers a lot, but of course you can die easily with 1 blow).
The game system is really nice. Its a SRPG obviously. basicly its a strategy game, but when you go to attack a monster, or get attacked, it becomes like a classical turn based RPG.
I personally give the game 10/10. I loved it.

there is roughly about 200 monsters. so yea, thats the limit too. there are like 5-7 different humans you can use too, depending on the path you take for the ending.


btw for those that never played the shin megami tensei series, just think of it like pokemon with yugioh monsters. LOL, except the human gets to fight as well.
Also the SMT series (not this one, this is an exception) is famous for its 'catching' system. Instead of using pokeballs, you negotiate with the monsters in battle, bribing, making deals, whatever neccessary. too bad this one didn't follow the usual system or i would've liked it a lot more. still a great game.

It is, in a small way. Persona 1 and Devil Survivor are both part of the "Megami Ibunroku" spin-off series.

I'd assume a ton of demons are in this game, as per SMT tradition. And as for the limit, I guess you'd have to find out how many demons they can cram onto a little DS cartridge

first of all it is just another SLG game, the best part of the game is the devil management~!
besides that i don't see anything special
i prefer the ORIGINAL shin megami

have you ever realise i play only J games and usually i make codes only for J games?
so if my japanese isn't strong? hahahaha maybe i will strike lottery with that!

it took me 10-15 minutes to fully translate the kingdom hearts menu, item and etc
