I don't think so. As far as I remember SSSpawn doesn't have the rights needed to that. I can be wrong tho, we'll see.

I'll be happy with anything. mainly as I imgine it will open the flood gates for a lot more dev and other exploits potentially built off of it.

SSSpwn doesn't even run outside the game it was started in. It's comparable to the Patapon exploit on the PSP. It retains the same permissions the original game had, which is very little.

A kernel exploit did surface from it after a few months, though. :)

not to be a hater, but i don't think smealum deserves the attention and understanding he gets. don't get me wrong, i think he is amazing and has good intentions, but i don't like the way he handles situations.

let me explain myself, i have two points, and if i am ever mistaken, explain to me please.

the exploit does work the same way on any 3ds, should it be new or not, right?

then why did he delay the exploit? if the exploit didn't work on the n3ds, then it doesn't matter and we should still have it

if it does work, then i think it works exactly the same way on n3ds, hense doesn't need any delay to adapt the exploit on n3ds...

second thing, why did he delay it for regular 3ds users? when he found out it worked on n3ds, he could have released the exploit and then work on n3ds (even tho i don't think it requires much work...)

i think he realised that everyone would forget about him the second he releases the exploit, so he just delayed it to get more and more attention. i won't be surprised if the intended release day he writes a tweet going like "oh dang i forgot about n3ds xl what if it doesnt work on this shiet i need to get one sorry guys delay lol"

Oh man since this exploit needs a game to run it i can already see resellers taking advantage of this.

I think everyone is underestimating what his exploit can do. He did mention multiple times that his exploit can allow region free on the 3DS which Gateway may not be able to implement such feature on their new upcoming update.

There is absolutely no need for speculating at this moment, but Smea's exploit might help the scene progress even further. It's just the pirates here don't realise it, because they're already happy with what they have, which is the ability to play their roms.

I recall he saying it MAY allow region free.
