Hi, I got both the files I need in the folder with the python file but it doesn't seem to be opening when I double click. Is there a specific command I have to type in cmdprompt?
Right click the file, hit open in idle then hit f5 to run it once idle opens. This'll print out errors into a console if it isn't working, send me these errors. If you don't have the open in idle option you probably don't have python properly installed.

So I made a CSS where I moved the clones and the DLC with their respective franchise, and hit save.
I put the two files back into explorer and exported it as a mod and renamed it to patch as usual
but when I open in Smash 4 nothing has changed

I even tried adding another mod of Castle Siege being stationary and that worked just fine but I can't get the CSS to work

Does it work with the 3DS version
Maybe, I haven't tested it though.

Did you get a message saying that it successfully saved when you saved it?
Does it load back properly if you reopen it?

Doesn't seem to work with Smash Bros. for 3DS. Using SaltySD 1.1.6 US.
It seems to save SOMETHING which it can read from afterwards, but it doesn't seem to be recognised by the game, resulting in it loading the default layout instead.
I am rather sure that I placed the files correctly and generated a new cache.bin, yet it still fails to work.

Yeah it saves and reopens
If it can be reopen and the changes stay that means that the file (and therefor my editor) isn't the issue.

I would work on support if I still had my 3DS, didn't brick it but just a general hardware defect :/, I might get it repaired someday but I don't feel like going through that process just yet. I'll look into making a 3ds build though as I do still have my dump. No promises though as it will be hard without being able to test it myself.

I reinstalled python and it worked so I guess that was the issue, thanks.

Hello there!

First of all, thanks Jam1Garner for such an incredible tool! But I'm having some trouble to make it work... I hope some of you can help me.

I put the program in the same folder than ui_character_db.bin and global_parameter_menu.bin, it opens flawlessly and I can rearrange my CSS and save the changes. I also can reopen it to see if the changes are there, and yes, nothing wrong with that. But after I put the new files in Sm4shExplorer, save the project, put the files in "0005000010145000/patch/data(eu_sp)/param/ui/ui_character_db.bin" and "0005000010145000/patch/data(eu_sp)/param/global_parameter/global_parameter_menu.bin" and then put the SD card on my WiiU, the console freezes right after launching the game (I'm launching the game through SDCafiine and all, of course).

Am I doing something wrong? Maybe with the path (I think I'm using the right one because my WiiU is Spanish)? Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you aren't building the mod before you put it on your SD Card.

Oh, no, I had change the original files with the new ones after using your program, and Sm4shExplorer showed them in green and then build the mod, so that's not the problem. Or well, I think so...

Just in case, can you tell us the right path that we have to use on our SD cards? I thought that is "[numbers]/patch/data(region)/param/" and then "ui" and "global_parameter" folders, but maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks again and sorry about asking you about this, I'm sure that I'm failing to see a very obvious explanation to my problem. xD

It should just be copy everything from the release folder to the "/[numbers]/patch/" folder

I will try it again right now. In the meanwhile, can you check these pictures to see if I'm doing anything wrong?

Man... you're right. Fixing it right now, let's see if it works this time...

EDIT: Meh, it froze again. And I'm using the right path this time, "[numbers]/patch/data(eu_sp)/param". I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Well, sorry to bother you, and thanks for your patience. I will try again and again. xD

When I try to bring the mii fighter (enemy) and the other mii enemies, only one of them seems to stay, while the others disappear.

That's the only problem I've seen so far, many thanks :D

Edit Nevermind i fixed it

Would you mind telling me how you fixed it? I'm still having the problem of the Miis having Mario's icon on the CSS. And yes I'm using v1.0.1 and hit "Fix missing characters" but it doesn't do anything.
