    Hi,
I'm trying to import custom level objects into Mario 64 DS using Kuribo's editor. The models import and display fine as in below image and can be viewed using MKDS course editor's bmd viewer. However, when I try to play it on the DS the screen just goes white as soon as I load the level.

The model is Large Leaf Forrest ripped from Mario 64 Star Road (attached).

I have tried using v2.0 beta 3 and the last version in the google code repo.

Has anyone had similar problems and was able to fix it? Any help is appreciated. SM64DSe Import.png

    Fixed it!

It turns out my models had thousands of duplicate vertices. I used MeshLab to:
    Filters>Cleaning and Repairing>
    Remove Duplicate Faces
    Remove Duplicated Vertex
    Remove Unreferenced Vertex
    Remove Zero Area Faces

I can now import some of them - I'll have to try and reduce the amount of polygons in the others.

Also, you don't seem to be able to edit the main castle grounds - maybe because of the introduction sequence?

    Hopefully this'll help someone else.

I tried it on my DS but the result was the same so I used an emulator as it's easier to get a screenshot.
I don't like having to use windows but Visual Studio and SM64DSe don't run in Linux and it'd be a lot slower in virtualbox and wine could cause bugs.

    DeSmuME > NO$GBA by a LONG way.
dasShiny > NO$GBA also; unfortunately, I can't compare it to DeSmuME.

As for Windows, TinyXP, 7, or go home.

Well thank you for your opinions, irrelevant though they may be to the topic.
