For those who were not able to get a game from dsiware, is it possible to use a game on sky3ds as an entry point with slowhax?

You can use your sky3ds+ to launch freakyforms and have homebrew even on 11.2
Slowhax was patched on 11.2
You need to have already downloaded the dsiware to downgrade on 11.0 an 11.1 (because pulled from the eShop).
Slowhax only permits to have kernel 11 privileges (that permits to install legit cia for example, not enough to downgrade on firmware 11.0 and up).
You can't launch a dsiware game with a flashcard.

Oh, let me be more clear then:

I am on 11.0-33E with a N3dsXL. You said I need the dsiware to downgrade on 11.0. Does that mean I have to connect to the dsiware without updating my system (which, AFAIK requires creating a hotspot or tinkering a little with your modem). Or do I just need the files?

Furthermore, you said that slowhax only permits legit cias, does that mean that I cannot play downloaded backups?

If you haven't buy the dsiware, you can't download it, it was pulled (not available) on the eShop.
kernel 11 exploit (slowhax for example) permits to install signed cia.

Here's the different solution you have to downgrade: https://3ds.guide/nfirm-downgrade

edit; you can use httpwn to access the eShop on older firmware, but useless for you, i guess...

Oh, so I'm stuck with a hardmod or a secon 3ds and slowhax will not do me any good at this point, right?

Anyway, thanks for the help.

That's wrong. While the original DSiWare game has been pulled from the eShop, you can use other games.
OP, look here for the list of games you can use.

Indeed, or just wait for another dsiware exploit to be released...

It needs a second 3ds.

For now. When Slowhax will be implemented in Yellows8 DSiWare save inject app, it will be possible to use it without a second 3DS. It should even be possible to downgrade native firm (and every other title, although it wouldn't be the best solution) directly with Slowhax. So OP will probably just have to wait a few weeks (days?) before he can downgrade his console.

Yeah, the keyword is "wait soon™" XD
Maybe for the 33c3?

Haven't people been reporting after save transfer with the modified dsiware/saves that they've been reporting as corrupted?

and soft bricks, and files straight up not transferring, it's an easy fix on Nintendo server side to implement.

LOL, I just noticed our post counts.
