Hacking Slot one problem with my 2.1

So my AK2.1 doesn't seem to be working in my ds lite anymore but when I place it in my brother's ds original it works so it's probably a contact issue right? I tried paper but that doesn't seem to be working. Looking inside my ds I see this

See that funny looking pin? I think that might be the cause of it but all my regular games work fine so I don't know what to think.
Does anybody have an idea?

You got 4 choices:
A. Send it in to get it fixed.
B. Replace the slot1 slot yourself (requires taking it apart and soldering).
C. Buy a new NDSL.
D. Do nothing.

The lower your skills are at fixing things, you will have to choose between A and C.
