Hacking Slot-1 Recommendations

So I'm looking at getting a M3 DS Simply Slot-1 card. Is this a good choice?

My priorities are high compatibility of commercial roms and homebrew and identical form factor as a ds game cartridge.

Also, if I do get it, what is the best removable media/model/speed to get for it if I want to be able to play any current rom size on it?

the r4ds makes the m3 simply

there both the same card but r4ds get updates first
i would go wth the r4ds
