Hi, im pretty desesperate with this PS3 slim, It's kinda old alredy, but it hasn't been used in maybe more than 5 years, I don't remember how it broke or when
when I connect it the red light turns on, i press the power button, the fan starts workings, the green light appears, but after exactly 2 second it automatically turns off, no red light, just nothing, after a few seconds, i can press the power button again, which will make the red light turn on, and pressing again makes the console turn on again and after 2 seconds turns off again, i took the power suply, and checked that it worked correctly, and also changed the cable (i only have two), also everytime i press the eject button, no matter what, it beeps 3 times
Anyway, i found that when the ps3 is disconnected, and you keep pressing down the eject button, when you connect the ps3 it will automatically turn on, not only that, you can eject a disc in the case there's a disc inside,and also keeps on for 30 seconds aprox. (I thought i fixed it the first time xD) but after 30 seconds it just turns off, and also now when pressing the power button it wont even turn on the red light
I got a few times a sequence of colors when doing this and trying to turn on the ps3, I couldn't record it but it started like:
Yellow green green red red green green green green red red, and after this im not really sure, i think maybe red red yellow? and keeps going, i found this weird, as it was like a pretty long sequence of colors
i've seen a video of someone with a really similar problem,
i have been trying to put a blank disc in the console for maybe more than a hour between yesterday and today, it doesn't work and im pretty sure there must be a better solution than forcing the console like that
my only guess is that some hardware part got fried as where I live we can get at 40ºC sometimes, but then, i can't explain how can the console just be on for a good 30 seconds no problem, I thought about changing the hard drive, i have a few, but i dont know if just putting a random blank hard drive would work
also, the screen just doesn't detect the ps3 at all, but im sure that's because the console never "reached" the starting up loading screen
Any help is really aprreciated
