Hi everyone I am new in the forum and I have in mind this little project about nintendo switch as in the title, I would like to solder on the positive battery wire a small slide switch with 2 positions ON and OFF. I ask you is it possible?
1)Could my switch have problems?
2) In the pictures I see 5 wires 2 red, 2 black and 1 gray, I imagine that the gray wire is some kind of control maybe to check the battery percentage, the other 4 are 2 positive and 2 negative, a red/black pair takes care of charging the battery while the other red/black pair provides power to the switch. Is this correct?
3) I have numbered the cables, if my reasoning in question 2 is correct, which red cable supplies power to the switch? 1 o 2?
4) If I can do it, I connect the console with the USB to the pc, with everything off (nintendo switch off and switch off), I imagine that the console turns on, if I disconnect the USB the console must turn off. Could something happen to nintendo? I don't think so, but I ask just in case.
Attached is a small diagram with an example of cable 1:
