Hi everyone I am new in the forum and I have in mind this little project about nintendo switch as in the title, I would like to solder on the positive battery wire a small slide switch with 2 positions ON and OFF. I ask you is it possible?
1)Could my switch have problems?
2) In the pictures I see 5 wires 2 red, 2 black and 1 gray, I imagine that the gray wire is some kind of control maybe to check the battery percentage, the other 4 are 2 positive and 2 negative, a red/black pair takes care of charging the battery while the other red/black pair provides power to the switch. Is this correct?
3) I have numbered the cables, if my reasoning in question 2 is correct, which red cable supplies power to the switch? 1 o 2?
4) If I can do it, I connect the console with the USB to the pc, with everything off (nintendo switch off and switch off), I imagine that the console turns on, if I disconnect the USB the console must turn off. Could something happen to nintendo? I don't think so, but I ask just in case.
Attached is a small diagram with an example of cable 1:

Don't disrespect big daddy Nintendo like that, good sir.

I don't thinking killing power suddenly the switch is a good idea. Asking for problems with your data at the very least, much less frying the board...

However, if you do plan on taking life in your own hands, post your results. I am sure the community would love to have the info on what happens when you do suddenly kill power.
