Following on the heels of Half Life remake mod, a group have announced there intentions to remake Morrowind using one of its successors engines. The mod as of now is a WIP but are looking for more to help them here. There are also plans to bring Oblivion into the Skyrim engine too although there are no release dates.

Not a fan of the Elderscroll series myself but I know most here are. More screenshots can be found here. I will admit it doesn't look bad

Eh, it looks like a grand project and all but someone already did this, its called Vvardenfell Comes Alive or something, if they really wanted to make this special they would replace that stupid Roll-the-dice system with Oblivions combat.

'Dat lack of alpha on the trees...
They are probably loading Morrowind assets into Skyrim's engine... low-res low-poly models are to be expected. But the textures look nice, which means it's probably from the Morrowind Overhaul.
It's more of a technical issue than a quality issue, there's no alpha pass being done on the tree leaves so light isn't actually shining through them.

Dunno' if it's related to how they pulled the textures in, or if they just hadn't bothered to set that info yet.

Work in progress. That should explain things. They announced a set goal in mind, but aren't really quite there yet. Not even close.

Otherwise, they could have just pulled tree models from Skyrim instead of Morrowind (they can definitely identify which doodad is placed where, they just need to replace the doodad).

(If you guys don't know what a doodad is, I suggest you look it up)

I think for the most part they're trying to keep it "faithful" to Morrowind. I'm not entirely sure what they mean to achieve by that, because Morrowind Overhaul would have already achieved that.

This should have been done by Bethesda already so we can enjoy the great Morrowind with Skyrim engine & gameplay. At least there are those out there trying to give us what Bethseda won't. Good work and please complete this!
