Gaming Skyward Sword ugly?

Hi guys,

I have hacked my wii with a softmod ios249 and booting games via USB loader cfg v60.
Running firmware 4.3E.

For some reason I have the feeling that the graphics of Skyword Sword are more ugly than compared to youtube video's of the game.

Playing on 480p official Nintendo component cable on an HDTV.

Any chance this can be cause of the ISO I'm playing? Or anything to do with my Wii?
Super Mario Galaxy 2 and all the other games look really nice.

doubt its your wii, maybe tv? btw your avatar photo looks like a stock photo from google. just saying.

I don't believe it's the ISO. There is no way to rip it in "low quality" or something. In the wii, there's that setting for 480p. I forget the name..."EDTV or HDTV", if my google was correct.
CFG 'defaults' to that setting (to my knowledge). Did you check if Zelda had the same setting as Super Mario Galaxy 2?


The last option is a bit strange...how are the youtube video's recorded? When playing the game on an emulator (dolphin), things can be upscaled to somewhat more than the wii itself can do (sorry: I don't know enough about this to know if the visual difference is even noticeable).

Link to some of the videos? A lot of what you see on youtube is recorded through Dolphin, which can easily run GC/Wii games in HD.
