I highly doubt nintendo will allow mod support. I think everyone here is familiar with Nintendo's view on modding.

Ugh...I have always hated motion-gaming..that was the one thing that turned me off in the trailer.
I love how the sword and shield are mapped to the left and right hand movement. I was a huge fan of Red Steel!

Just what I always wanted in an elder scrolls. Nintendo gimmicks; pointless motion controls, support for those stupid action figures and cross franchise appearances.
How dare they shove this pointless but completely optional feature down our throats!

Devs add all sorts of things that don't really justify ports or remasters just because they can. You should be used to it by now.

EVERYONE! A 3rd party is finally supporting Nintendo! This is what we wanted, so PLEASE STOP BITCHING ABOUT IT! Jesus, I swear it's one way or another with you people.
You're so right! People need to stop complaining 'cause Bethesda is going to release a 6 year old game on the Switch and that's awesome!

Hey, at least it isn't a console people already own from 20-something years ago that a company is rereleasing. *cough* NES Classic Edition *cough*

When you look at the Vita and 3DS handhelds have just lept light years with release of Switch.
You're comparing the Switch to 3DS/Vita which is a mistake.

Nintendo Switch is a home gaming system first and foremost

A re-release is a re-release and if we're talking about the Mini NES, it's nothing like the original NES as that's an emulator box with 30 official roms pre-installed.

They need to stop bitching, too. The Switch is amazing :rofl2:

Running Skyrim as well as it does on a tablet/hybrid isn't an easy task, porting from X86 to ARM takes a lot of programming, so it's a very good feat. People need to keep their pants on wait for more info

My 3DS/Vita/Switch all have a case, all have a screen, all have speakers, all are playable with no T.V, all run off cartridges, all are playable in my car or on my train commutes, all are held in my hand, all are portable handheld game consoles.

Switch has far more in common with 3DS and Vita than say PS4 or XBOX.

I think your biggest mistake is basing your opinion on things off of internet journalism and not your own common sense. Just saying.

This, you can't compare the mobile technology (SoC) on a portable device with home consoles that uses 10x more energy consumption.

Excuses. That was directly from Nintendo.

If apple released a new Ipad with a dock for video output called "Ipad Dock, our new home console", would you call it a home console despite the technology behind it?

They're calling their home console because of marketing, they don't want to throw the 3ds under the bus, not yet.

It doesn't matter. They call it a home console so it is, your opinion is irrelevant.

LoL I don't really care about "spin" especially when it comes from a corporation trying to market something.

Don't let marketing dictate your thought process.

List me your comparisons between Switch/PS4 and Switch/Vita and prove to me the Switch has more in common with a home console than a handheld...

That's one dick comment mate, wind it in, just because someone wants to sell you something using clever marketing doesn't mean you can't think for yourself..

It does, everyone can call it a "home console" all they want but, fact of the matter is, the switch has an ARM mobile Processor with a Nvidia mobile gpu, the only product in the market comparable is the NVIDIA shield Tv.
