Hacking Sky3ds Template file

Does anyone know of a tutorial or know what the template file is and how i use it or is it as simple as putting roms on my sd card via the disc writer.

Basically you run the diskwriter program (as admin or it will error out). Choose your microSD card on launch. Format the microSD (File > Format). Once that's done, click Options and Change Template. Choose the template txt file downloaded form the sky3ds website.

Choose File > Write to put games on the SD. That's pretty much it.

The template file dictates some configuration settings for the card. However, if the game you want isn't in the template file, you can't play it.

I'm running in to that now. Last 8 games weren't in the template file so... I'm SOL...

That is a big disadvantage, but i saw that they update the file quit often

Couldn't you just add in your own?

Getting the Game ID and SHA1 is simple enough. What is the rest? I was thinking about picking up a Sky3DS to play around with so this is interesting to me. I didn't realize we are at their mercy to add new games to the template.
