If you need to ask to know the best cart for you, i assume you are not informed. And you haven't read any guide. So it's better for you to buy the simplier one: sky3ds. It will works everywhere: 2ds,3ds et N3ds.

I have a gateway, but i nedd to play with emunand, cias etc etc..

this seller has the sky3ds for the cheapest price out there as they put it on sale for $64 regularly. you can check their rating history(very positive), they've sold a ton of sky3ds and it seems like shipping is about two-ish weeks average.

I just find some mistakes on SKY3DS
SKY3DS can play games like the genuine game cards, just put it in your console then play, very easy. you just need to write the games into your sd cards.
And SKY3DS is merely no restriction now.
You can use sky3ds play CIA, homebrew, region free, also Eshop, and many videos just proved these.
it can also play GBA games which gateway can not.

I just find that there are many GW fans trying to misunderstanding you from SKY3DS
Some words for SKY3DS as a sky user:

ONLY ON 9.2 (or below).

OP said that he has a 9.7 3DS so he cant install cia's or homebrews. He can get regionfree with regionFOUR btw.

I'm not very technically minded and after a reading a lot of the hype threads over Xmas, decided to buy gateway, but now wish I had gone for sky3ds. I've had a few problems with corrupt save files and fragmentation of files on my sd card. All the things I waited patiently for came with a hidden price. I have to go online to enable gateway mode, which is often a pain in the arse. And to downgrade the firmware for region free etc etc, I would have to take a risk of bricking the system. I don't trust their program enough to do it.

I'm sure sky3ds has its problems too, but if you just want something simple to setup to play backups on, it seems like the best option to me.

they are getting more common now that you don't need it for gateway (all the time). A lot of people are picking it up, running the mset downgrade, then returning it. So while it's still rareish it's far more common now

If you understood implicitly how the hack worked, I assume you would be making lots of money with your own exploits. However you're not, so my common sense tells me the most obvious "unbelievably stupid" thing I could do would be to take your advice.....

1) your SD card isn't working
2) 90% of other people using gateway don't have that problem

Logically one could conclude that your SD card is a knockoff or broken

1)No ones gotten bricked for running the downgrade
2)Your scared of running the downgrade

Logically one could conclude that your fears are not based in fact

Based on these 2 points we can conclude that you're trying to blame gateway for your own failings.
