Hi peeps,

I received my Sky3ds eventually yesterday from YeahGeeks followed instructions of inserting cart, then removing and inserting again but i get no content load and have never had the cart's blue light flash.

Is this likely a duff cart even though YeahGeek say they test all carts or have i done something wrong?

Any help gratefully received.

wo inserting a micro sd, you get 3 fast blinking blue led light?

Yeah mine was like that but what are you using to write games 1.05 wasnt working for me, after trying 1.06 diskwriter and template.txt worked fine.

I've tried multiple versions of Diskwriter now and 3 different Micro Sd Cards still never seen a blue flashing light.

You need to hold the button as you insert the Sky. Sometimes it takes a couple tries. Read the set up instructions on the Sky website.

Double check that your micro SD is pushed in all the way. If you have a different micro SD available, format and try it to make sure the SD card isn't the issue.

Eject, and try again. I have had to take the Sky out and put it back in a few times to get it to 'take'.

i assume it only flashes when its reading something so why would it flash if nothing was inserted :S

My colleague at work has the new 3ds i have the new 3ds xl we tried it in his and it worked 1st time. guitarheroknight
I wouldnt really know how to solve this. It seems that the card isnt compatible with some units - maybe a anti piracy measure Nintendo is introducing with newer batches? Who knows...

Wait, it works in other consoles but not that one?

First off, the firmware is...??

Is it a limited edition 3DS? A 2DS maybe?

What mSD is in the 3DS? Is it the same brand as the Sky3DS mSD?

It might be possible there is a conflict with the sysNAND SD card. It might be confusing them. Although I wonder how...??? Well, it might be because they were formatted on the same PC? Is that possible? Hrm.. not sure what's going on here.

Worst case scenario is that Nintendo is blocking it with 9.6.0-24X. Which wouldn't surprise me...

Osmosis I took it out of my New 3ds XL and put it in his New 3ds and it worked fine in his. I was never able to ever once see a flashing blue light on my XL his was instant. His is on 9.0.0-20E Mine is on 9.5.0-23E.

The same thing happened to the XL this guy had whom I wanted to sell my card to. Try holding the blue button while slowly inserting the card and see if it helps.
