Hacking Sky3DS Multiplayer Headers

Hi everyone. I understand the process of injecting your own private header into the template file before writing it to the 3DS but can someone tell me how to actually obtain my private dump using the Sky3DS?? Thanks.

Will it possible in the future to get your own ram dumps in the future if you don't have gateway?

Well I just remembered that my 3DS XL is still on 9.2 so I can use the gateway launcher.dat but I do not know which of my retail games I should use for the private header.. can be any game?

any game that has multiplayer.. from what i read not every game is compatible with every header, so just try dumping all the games you have that have multiplayer that way you can just try them out and see which one works..

apparently you can use something called no ban no sky to inject the header to the template.txt and the rom, and you can use gateway rom patcher to get the header from your own dumped retail rom

The issue is getting the dump on Sky3DS. You can get the dump rather easy on gateway but Sky3DS is a different matter.

Yeah I used No Ban No Sky to put into place my Sonic All Stars Racing header into my games so hopefully when my Sky 3DS arrives, online works.

im not too sure but you don't even need to add the headers into the roms since you are using sky3ds, it uses the values from the template.txt

maybe im wrong tho.. i don't know

you are right and wrong...


The header values are in the template file provided by Sky3ds team, and they do work....

BUT!!. They run a very high risk of being banned by Nintendo... (mainly because ever person and their dog are using these as they are Viewable to the public)

I would almost defiantly change it to a private one.

feel free to use the Sky3ds template as a template... I personally created a new .txt file and named it template.txt and just copy and paste the games I needed in to it from the Sky3ds template file and then change the header for that game (6th row down inc the SHA1 line).

yea thats definitely what i did..

the Gateway Rom Patcher will also change those values inside the rom.. but i think thats only useful to gateway users

What happens if I enter some random stuff into the header line? Like 2E 4F 03 45 ...
This is what I would like to know.


Trying to get a full understanding on how these headers work.

I've been out the game for a while and the last I done was nds drag and drop or old school gba where you had to change a few things to get it to work, but this is new to me.

Save the Gateway and go ahead and get a Sky3DS as well. You'll need them both eventually, especially if you want to install GW on an N3DS. You'll need GW to rip your private headers anyhow, and yes, Sky3DS works while using GW.

Does no one know that?
Yeah, nothing. It's the same as trying to create a public header. Nintendo goes: "Oh look, garbage" and blocks it.

Don't believe me? Go DL Gateway ROM Patcher v1.1 and have fun. Don't forget to match the Sky3DS template to your waste-of-time header (export the new header from ROM Patcher). Or the Sky3DS just blanks out the game entirely.
