Hacking skipping disc updates

i can't find a conclusive answer for this question: does USB loader 1.5 skip the update portion of a disc? will it prompt for an update for force update?

i need to make sure in order to try an NTSC game on my PAL console

I know gamma skipped it, don't know about USB loader though

Yes it skips it. Don't even think it copy's any updates to the drive, only the game itself.

/edit- too late, the new 1.5 copies the update partition too, but it uses it not
