Hello all,

Long-time lurker here.

I apologize if this is the wrong section for this topic, but it seemed right.

My grandparents have expressed an interest in the Wii, and are anxious to "bowl" whenever they come to my house.

We have considered buying them their own, but the fact of the matter is, they have lots of problems with technology. Computers and DVRs and such are getting to be too much for them.

Is there a hack to enable a "simple user mode" for them that simply runs whatever disk is in on startup, without the channel screen and whatnot?

If not, is anyone interested in developing such a hack? Feel free to PM me and we can talk.

Once again, I apologize if this is in the wrong section. Feel free to move it/delete it if it is.

Cheers,

-Buggleboop

it needs to be more simple than "put the disc in the wii, click the top left square, play"? it works like this right out of the box.

if you really need 1 less step, you can just slap in a modchip and set it to autoboot games. then you dont have to do step 2. it becomes "put the disc in the wii, < game starts itself >, play"

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it.
