Guys, I've fixed it. But THIS IS IMPORTANT, PLEASE ADD IT TO THE OP:
If you had HOMEMenuHax installed before the downgrade, and get black screens on boot, remove the (micro)SD card, boot, and while in the HOME Menu, put it back in again, and change theme!

He posted it and then quoted his post. He removed the SD card.

Guess some people never encounter this issue. The systems I updated never encountered the issue. But I was booting into menuhax only by hold L button. Maybe some people have an autoboot setting?

i tried to downgrade a n3ds from 10.3 to 9.2.
after sysupdater did his work my n3ds wont reboot.tried the recovery mode but no success.
finally i used the wrong .cia files (for o3ds).
i dont have a nandbackup.
have any one an idea what i can do?

what is if i made a hardmod backup? is there any way to inject the right files?
i downgraded a N3DS Xl MME and an o3DS before and everythings work fine...

hard mod only helps if you made a backup before bricking your 3ds. There is currently no known way to recover from a full brick unless a nand backup was made BEFORE the brick.

Everytime i downgrade my 2DS it shows a screen that says an Error has Occurred, Recovery Mode fixes it, but i don't want to Format my 2DS in order to fix the error on the next downgrade.
Is there any other way?

Downgrade worked.

N3ds 10.3. Tried booting thru menuhax/ftbrony about 10 times and got the titleexception error.

then I tried formatting the 3ds and cleaning up the sd card. Still got tittleexception with unable to open CIA files

then I went to cubic ninja and still got titleexception. Then I figured I'd plug in the charger so I wouldn't drain the battery. The next time I opened sysupdater it ran correctly and rebooted into 9.2. So far system menu works, now to try exploits and putting rxtools on.

Yea im on an old 3ds xl T.T
I've probably soft-bricked now 20 times and have re-updated.
So little/big things i've been noticing and if anyone can answer:

1. I actually counted how many cia files were installing one at a time. Number came to 38~41 each trial before "NATIVE FIRM" appeared. All 126 files (o3dsxl U) are suppose to install right?
2. When the cia files are installing, they don't instantly appear one after another. They slowly materialize one at a time then the green "Installed" logo shows after each. Are the files suppose to just pop up?
3. If I were to do a system format, does anyone know a way to backup the systems save data on 10.3? I've searched the forums but can't find any definitive answer. I really want to keep my Mii Plaza data since it's been worked on for years.

Notes:
Using Menuhax 2.1, using frbrony "trick", tried using a seperate fresh formatted fat32 sd card, tried switching entry points...

guess it's a race against the clock before possible 10.4 is rolled out on tuesday...

Unfortunately, formatting is the last resort if you always get a softbrick. I tried to figure out why it's like that, clearing Streetpasses, emptying internet connections, in the end, formatting somehow clears something in the system, if I had a guess, maybe the NAND is fragmented and formatting fixes it, making downgrading easy.

Well followed this tuto to each steps.
Installed Menuhax (in case i needed to enter homebrew again and I was right i needed it XD)
Downgrade my OOT hax to 9.2.
Launched HomeB.
Force closed an app and launched downgrader.
All cia installed successfully.
But hang in restart.
Edit : Forced the restart, removed SD and put it back and bring it to default theme now it work fine

sysUpdate won't detect the CIA files and their on the root of the SD in a folder titled updates. any one got some black magic that'll make it work?

Edit with more information:
directory is
SD>updates> .cia

the error specifically reads:

getting CIA file informations...

titleException:
main.cpp148: Result: 0xD900192F
failed to get CIA file info!

This is the problem i am getting, even with ftbrony it still happens.

My hearth was beating like crazy during downgrade process, but I've successfully downgraded my N3DS from 9.9.0-26E to 9.2.0-20E ^.^

Edit: I've noticed that memchunkhax2 is more stable on N3DS when WiFi is turned on, but not connected to any network....

Happened to a friend I was helping as well, after launching sysUpdate multiple times finally downgraded. Hope it helps you.
