And which version of 3DS you have? Region?

Japanese n3ds, hence, deleting the cia because every tutorial says it will brick my n3ds
had the luck to begin downgrade process two times but both times got stuck on 000400102002CA00.cia

Make sure you delete the right one. Unless you want a brick.

No tutorial I've read stated where to delete the CIA from. Doesn't bother me because I don't have a Japanese console.

My system was downgraded to 9.2.0-20E but I just noticed, on my EmuNAND RX-E 9.2.0-20E I can launch Ironfall without needing an update.
How is this possible? I guess my downgrade went wrong?

Are you sure you need an update to run Ironfall?

It's still something to keep in mind but if you follow this tutorial with the latest updated sysupgrader bricking without being able to recover is kind of low.

OK thank you. So if I follow the OP of this thread and use "9.2.0-20U(Full)_n3DS.zip" I should have no problems? I will have full access to the CPU and not the one where 9.8 is still residing in the background?

You need at least 9.5 to run Ironfall or something like that

Yeah I know that exactly is the problem. My EmuNAND is definetly not on 9.5 it's 9.2.
On SySNAND it's not working, it's stuck in a looping bootscreen.

Worked for me. Downgrade N3DS XL from 10.3-28E to 9.2-20E. Second try . Thank you and everyone who worked on this.
