Hi Guys, I'm here again! I'm the guy who bricked his 3DS trying to downgrade. I was searching any solution in the inet and I found that people unbricked his/her 3DS (bricked with gateway, not the same but I don't lose anything trying) using a raspberry pi. It's possible to do the same thing with my 3ds? Because if I can boot it and use the recovery or downgrade it, it can work again and no 3ds will be bricked again trying to downgrade. Anyone knows if I can unbrick it with the raspberry pi method?
You cannot, your 3DS will never boot again.

If I'm on a 9.9.0-26E N3ds (non XL), what is the best/safest way to downgrade? Also, how can I check which version of Menuhax I'm running? Should I update to 10.3 and then downgrade to 9.2, or just downgrade from 9.9.0-26 to 9.2? Just trying to eliminate as many variables to avoid screwing up.

I made my own video tutorial + written tutorial.

Enjoy!

So if it errors out mid-install and I boot my system up and black screen, recovery mode doesn't work, removing sd card doesn't work. I have warrenty on it so I could act like it wasn't my fault and send it back. Or is there something else I could do. It was the latest firmware.

I'm using sysUpdater from Julian *the libkhax ones* from page 95...
I'm trying to downgrade my n3ds 10.1, but then i got this message...

titleException:
main.cpp:148: Result: 0xD900182F
Failed to get CIA file info

What did I do wrong?
Please help...
same, but i'm on 10.3
Restart and try again.. and again.. and again. There shouldn't be a chance of brick before it goes to "installing cias" mode since only at that point it will start to mess with sysnand.

I'd recommend you don't send it to Nintendo, and you especially shouldn't act dumb about it. Believe me, they'll know. When my Wii U stopped working back in 2013 and I sent it in, they detected I had Homebrew Channel installed and removed EVERYTHING.

Just finished downgrading my 10.3 O3DS to 4.2. I guess I'm gonna start downloading some CIAs and start playing tomorrow.

i have fw 4.5 but i want to update to 9.2 because of gateway coldboot my question is... can i update my 3ds with this?? (i have a O3DS XL)
The sysUpdater tool would work, but I'm not sure how to boot it. I think that there are custom firmwares that you could use that allow the am:u!InstallNativeFIRM API to work, but I don't know.
I did it! I have a O3DS from USA.
Went from 10.3.0-28U to 9.2.0-20U
I tried to play Pokemon Picross and Pokemon Shuffle and the console got stuck in the "Nintendo 3DS" animation that appears when you open an app.
That one with the red waves. Any ideas?
And I think another apps have been reseted.
Also, how do I enter to the eShop now?

Those programs are seeddb.bin games. They are going to require 9.6.0. The only way to run them, apart from using your previous firmware of course, is to install a CFW and update that to newest. If you back up your SD card, make the EmuNAND from your current SysNAND, then restore all the files on your SD card, your save files should survive.
