Seems everyone enjoys this game, but have no idea what they're doing. So I decided to start this thread to get people on the right track. Keep in mind, I have absolutely no Japanese knowledge, everything here was found through trial and error. Feel free to add your own bits of tips here.

If you've gotten into a battle, and find yourself just hitting air, your not understanding the battle system. In Sigma Harmonics, battles takes place in 4 directions, with enemies surrounding you.

The radar on the bottom left shows all your enemies as well as the direction your currently facing (In this case, up). Depending on what card you use to attack, will determine how Neon will rotate herself or what action she will take. Knowing what each card does is important. Here are the few cards in the beginning that you should know.

Sometimes, you might find two enemies near each other in the same direction. After you finish off one enemy there, you'll automatically focus on the next, as long as your still facing it.

After Stage 1, you'll get access to Battle Music and Job Change. I'm still working with those, so I'll put some info when I'm sure I know how to use them.

The game's story involves murder mysteries that you have to unravel. Though the game is fortunately very lenient when it comes to this. There are multiple ways to complete a stage, though they all involve using the Reason Board. Of course, not knowing whats going on could make this very hard. By watching the "Event Markers" (I have no idea what they're <i>really</i> called, just work with me people), you'll earn <i>tokens</i> for use on the Reason Board. These will determine your decisions when solving the mysteries.

If you've tried all the token combinations and still are stuck, then your probably missing some. In the center of the building is a clock. By 'Searching' it, you can offer up a card to change the time. For example, Stage 1 starts at 12:00. There are two events at 12, but you if change the time to 9:00, you'll find two more events. When you complete the Reason Board with these tokens, you'll come to the boss. As I said before, the game is lenient when it comes to solving these. Your choices on the reason board determine the bosses' strength. The boss could take out 100 HP per hit, or 5 HP, all depending on your choices on the board. If your having trouble on a boss, then try different combinations.

After defeating the boss, you'll earn a rank. I am not sure but I believe the rank is determined through Reason Board path and hidden Hint Tokens (Blue Sparkles on the ground, they are found in certain places, at certain times, and sometimes after certain events.).

Think of different questions like: Is one of the people in the living room the murderer? And did that person put the poison during the meal?
[4th piece] 12:00 in the Living room /Lower left corner
If the food was not poisoned during the meal, then when did it actually happen? Hint is at 11:00.
[5th piece] 9:00 at the Garden of Purity/Balcony
It is not [because ... drank the poison], but [because ... did not...the...]</blockquote>

- In a place at 18:00, there are facts able to discover depending on Neon’s status.
*Note: If entering Kitchen with a Card User/Knight then [Nene … in the elevator] and with a Shooter then [Shizuma’s left arm] is available.

- Was Yoshiko’s death suicide or murder? It is possible to catch sight of her appearance as it is at 20:00.

- One of the questions concerning Shizuma’s death is, “At that time was there anyone capable of doing the murder? Or was there not?”
[8th piece] 17:00 Kitchen / Bottom right
- Things of evidence, result of reasoning, incident at 17:00, and … happened at first.

- For one thing, someone also noticed, and watched Sigma and Neon as well.

well im not a girl but im so happy that i can sell you my sister xD

abt the music, its probably something like +/- effect, you gain something but you lose def badly, i guess that could be it

just get done with Stage 1 @_@ hell if i knew abt time changing earlier xD anyways, pwnage, boss design and whole plot @_@ i kinda got a vision of what happened

your solution, but im gonna try tonight again 1st stage with some minor changes like starting from 9 and going to 12 and other set during reason im kinda curious if this will change something cause i did all kinda chaotic now

as for stage 2 and 2nd floor during battles with bee like enemies i havent experienced anything while changing music >.< maybe i havent paid enough attention to it
 
I think I figured out some of the BGM system

The cards that you equip for Job change and bgm will not be used in battles, and the BGM sistem adds speed to the ATB gauge of each card you use in battle, and to know how much speed to ech one, just check the length of each bar (I don't think that I need to say that the lef bar is for the left set of cards, etc). About the colors of the gauges, I still didn't find anything

You know, I noticed the ATB thing. But I wasn't sure if it was actually happening or just me being paranoid. Thanks, thats really helpful.

The sword attack you have listed as only doing a 180°, I have seen it make a 90° left turn so is it possible that it attacks the enemy to the left if there isn't one to the immediate back of you?
 
if you are talking about a card with a sword and two snakes, a whithe one and a black one, it attacks a random enemy (I guess), mos times in front of you. if there is none, it will turn you to the closest. for a 180º, its the knight/armor card
 
Nice one. I didn't notice that. You are right, I'll add that bit in a sec.

Edit: I fiddle around with it. If there is an enemy behind you, it will attack it. If not, it will go for the next enemy. Even when there is only one enemy left, it will always target it, even if your already facing it. Damage is incredibly small though.
 
as soon as I can get to chapter 3, I will give you more info.

and I already got the third job (I will speak of it as gunner, for simplicity's sake), but it was very unexpected. I finished a battle against one of those circle enemies that come with two bees, and after the battle, there it was, I got a card and that job change.

and while I'm at it, I have a theory about the sp, but needs confirmation: each sp you get will add itself to the amount of hp you recover when you use the recovery card.
