If you already paid 300 bucks for a 11.3 new 3ds, then it's just going to be useless to sell it for less and pay even more for a 11.2 new / old 3ds, unless you know someone who's willing to help.

Having a hard time with my new 3ds xl. Posted it on my work site and on craigslist. No bites but i can be patient. hehe. Loving the hell out of The binding isaac. Have almost 20 hours into it haha.

Oh i see...so I do need a hardmod... Okay. And how would you install sighax though once the hardmod was done? This whole process is kinda new to me. Starting to think I shouldn't have upgraded to the n3ds at this time of the year lol

No he cannot. That is only if he is on 11.2 or lower. At least until sighax comes out.

You can not do that with 11.3. 11.3 added a NATIVE_FIRM requirement to homemenu, which basically locked out both dsiware and hardmod downgrade.
The only way to softmod a stock 11.3, is currently to sell it.

I know that, I was referring specifically to the part about the hard mod requirement he mentioned for after sighax is released. Dsiware soft mod can be substituted for hard mod for the purpose of installing sighax.

okay so...someone tell me what all I would have to do without selling, or system transferring anything. I only am able to hardmod. My dad is experienced in soddering and he said he would try to do it for me. Do I sodder the microsd card adapter right to the motherboard? I have seen some people using some sort of connector on different locations on the 3ds. If I HAD to do that, I would put mine beside the charger or something so that my beautiful casing was okay. I don't have the money to send it to someone else.

Hard modding for downgrading was "patched" in 11.3, so no A9LH for you at the moment.

You'll have to wait until Sighax is released THEN you can do the whole soldering business (i.e hardmod) but until then you can't do anything.

I would wait until Sighax is released before soldering anything to the 3DS. You'll be wasting your time as you won't be able to actually use it (apart from taking backups through it) properly until then.

Even if boot9 is dumped tomorrow they still have to develop a sighax 'signer' and then brute force the 'signature'. From what I've read brute forcing sighax isn't trivial, even with boot9.

Okay I know that, but what would the whole process look like? I wanna do it so I can get games you can't get normally in my region or stuff like rom hacks. What should I do?

Awesome! I hope it is dumped soon! I am gonna hardmodmy 3ds fairly soon. Maybe in the next couple weeks. Hope it is done by May. I wanna install some pokemon romhacks to my 3ds. I made pokemon sweet 1 and 2 for the 3ds. Pretty cool. I don't think I can post them here, though, if anyone wants them.

Btw just realised that I guess I don't need to permanently hardmod my 3ds. Maybe when sighax comes out, I can temp hardmod it and possibly take all that stuff out once I am done. Read a tiny bit on it. Anyone know more on the subject of temp hardmodding?

I don't know 'bout now, but I got it for 300 in 2015. Inclusive of all taxes and shipping costs (and of course, a pair of USB Chargers). Aside from that, add a few more for a Guard Case. Above 300 already.

Edit: HOLY CRAP! They reduced it to 200?!
