Forgive me if I'm being dumb, but 3ds.guide shows a guide for Updating to boot9strap. Are boot9strap and SigHax the same thing? Also, am I safe to update my 3DS to newer firmwares after Updating to SigHax?
Not so sure yet. They are both the same thing.According to the guide it is safe to update to a higher fw.

So I just got done with Section II - Installing boot9strap, but when I turned my 3ds on again the blue light faded in and out and stayed off. Did I brick?
Tried reinserting the SDCard again? Did you properly remove it in Windows?
Have you put all files correctly? Have you named the folder correctly?

I thought this http://www.sighax.com/ was a joke cause it didn't loaded for me until now, it's this supposed to be the same or what? appart from the community support that's obvious
Different developers. Same end result? One is opensource, the other is not?

This is the better original code made by Derrek. He was the one that showed the exploit off and a quick summary on how he went about dumping boot9.

As far as I know, they do the exact same thing, so there should be no difference in the exploit code? Anyway both should work fine and do the same thing. I however follow Aurora's recommendation's and since it added boot9strap and the guide also recommend boot9strap it's just the obvious choice for me.
