Gaming Sid Meiers Pirates issue

So i know it has something to do with the spyglass but how the hell do you land a ship on to land when you're hunting for pirates treasures ?? i get to the spot and scan with the spyglass but can't figure how to "land" the ship ..
HELP !

I think all you do is run aground (or get close) and it will ask you.... I cant test it as Its not working again. I can get it to start but after around 3 minutes play it freezes.

Are you using the 224 Cios and if so what version??
