Hacking Show off your flash cart collection :-)

I've only got a Supercard DS-One, which can technically run 3 firmwares. So I've got 3 cards in a funny way.

I hope to get an Acekard 2 some time soon. My DS-One is sort of falling apart due to the screw being stripped. And it has the PSRAM error problem (which is thankfully bypassed by using DSTT or Ysmenu firmwares).

Oh and I've got a Ezflash 3in1 with a broken battery. It still works on some games, but won't save. It works as memory and rumble at least. And any games that don't freeze on saving or don't require it.

Sorry for the newbie question, but I'd like very much to know the alternative firmwares I can use.

When you click and have low BW, the pictures are big, so take your time

First let me say that i do own a lot of cards cause i review them, i did buy alot of them myself, i also gave most review cards away in a competition
on the site i review them for or to friends/family, read: i did not sell them, i gave them away or donated them

* 1st picture you can see the flashcards better, second picture is the same but clearer light on the expansion cards
* 3th picture is an overview with the DS collection.

* The 3 EDGE flashcards are used by wife and kids, this cause the menu is plain simple and easy for the kids.
* DS-Phat (US Import) is used by the wife
* DS-Lite green is used by my daughter (7)
* DS-Lite red is used by my other daughter (7) (yeah, there identical twins)
* DS Lite Enamel Navy (JPN Import) is used by myself
* DSi Black (JPN Import) is used by myself
* I myself preffer the Cyclo DS Evolution

* There addicted to animal crossing (all 3 the ladies), that's why the add-on stickers of animal crossing
* I bought 3x Animal Crossing for the ladies

(Yeah, i do buy the games we like to play more then once)

spooky we also have 3 DS lites and a PHAT! lol

my son has the PHAT BLUE Nintendogs LTD edition hes reluctant to part with it being a LTD edition

I have a Black ONYX lite

G/F has a Pink Lite

other son has an Arctic or Polar White Lite

kids had the RUMBLE cards to start off with then the TTDS again same reason easy interface and now use the AK2i's now they are older

I kinda like collecting them now ...trying to get a full set lol!!!

I'll get slated for this but don't you think if you've got the money to buy all that DS kit that the whole family is using, you should perhaps be buying more legit games rather than more flashcarts?

I only have a Cyclo with a SanDisk 8GB, I don't really see the point in owning more than one cart (except for testing and reviewing, but I'm not doing any of that) maybe more than one SD...

I soon to have an EZ Flash 3-in-1 plus with 64MB NOR memory on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009.

Planning to buy an Acekard 2.1 sometime in the future wen we have enough budget.

I just like you to know the following things.

Didn't you read the part where i say that i do buy the games we like. (like i bought 3x animal crossing)
Flashcards are a great way to test games, when my kids say, the love to play this game, i go out and buy it 2x
when i do like a game i do buy it. In the past i bought to many games that promised alot but where crap and where never played again.
I like to have value for my money, i like to say, this game was worth it's €40/€50/€60 (some €69).

I do own over 50 original games (double's not counted), that's more then most average person here on gbatemp i bet.

I didn't buy all, i do get alot for review, and all i give away for free, i just like to keep 1 flashcard of each, that i feel i like to keep.

Fair enough, seems as though you are genuinely using it for testing games before purchase. I saw the bit about animal crossing yes, but unlike your own collection of 50, unfortunately most people in your situation wouldn't bother.

NDS owners are lucky in comparison to the PSP. Piracy's rife on both but at least the DS has some games worth playing, whereas it just seems to have discouraged PSP developers.
